Just found out that we will be relocating to the Camp Pendleton area late summer. What nursing programs/schools are near here that you would recommend? I am looking for my associate's degree or BSN? I already have my BA in English so I may be looking...
Anyone know anything about this program (price particularly)? I saw they are in the process of getting certified through the state for their Associate's license....
What LVN programs are near or around Temecula? I do tons of searches but always find this to be the most helpful... as things are always changing!!! :) THANKS!!!
Is anyone going to the open houses? I'm scheduled to go next week and I am eager to hear about the new requirements. I wonder how many credits we need in order to apply and what the pricing will be like?
I'm looking for a CNA course on the Southside in Va Beach, Chesapeake or Norfolk... I know about Sentara & Bon Secours programs... What else is available? THANKS!

I visited MCI and decided not to go there after doing so; it's not my thing and the price is outrageous. Plus, I want to get my BSN and possibly Master's eventually, and their credits will not transfer to another local university (though they offer t...

What chemistry are you taking? I would switch that to the fall and take English this summer... More time for that one. You can take MANY, if not all (except labs) online. I would recommend going that route. Do you have kiddos? Good luck!

I can't believe the wait at the community colleges. I saw Mira Costa was 3 years. That is crazy. Palomar's program admissions aren't updated yet. Do you have any idea about them? What other ADN programs are around? I don't want one of the insanely ex...

Thank you for the information! Are the nursing programs at the community colleges a wait AFTER pre-req's are done, or while completing it takes awhile? I'll have to check Kaplan out. I'm not tecnically military as my husband is with NCIS so I'm not ...

I've taken SDV. You don't need a book and it's an easy A! :) I'm applying to TCC but also planning to apply for Sentara's BSN (if I get placed in a late cohort with TCC, I'll just hold out for Sentara). I've had Math 3, English 111 and am taking AP ...
To those of you who have information regarding the evening and weekends program from Riverside, do you have some details to share? Is it every other weekend? What days per week? How many hours per week? Etc? THANKS!
2 years from now I hope to start nursing school at TCC or Sentara. It feels like so looooong away. Anyone else in the waiting game for pre-req's or other reasons? We're saving money for a new house and I have pre-req's to finish in the mean time too....

THanks for the replies. I'm not decided which I'm taking (imagine that), and will probably decide next semester when I'm in AP1. I'm only taking this course next summer too as I know it is a condensed session.

I thought you could have (2) of the (3) sciences to get in & apply (AP 1, AP 2 or Micro)? Is this not the case? I plan to apply early Sept. '10 for Fall '11 admission. I will have had AP 1 and AP 2 at that point and be currently enrolled in Micro...

It will... Just think of things this way: you are probably working until you are 60(ish) years old. I'm only 30 and will be done with my BSN when I'm 35 - that's 25 years of work left ahead of me! Figure out a game plan and stick to it... I'm so impa...

You do get out of the CNA classes; there are a couple other courses to take though that I didn't post. You can find it all on the website. You have it made, girlie. The RN to BSN looks sweet there - part time to less than part time and it's about $9K...

As far as maths, at TCC you have to take College Algebra before Stats or place into it. I'm going to go the route of Alg. 1, Alg 2, College Alg, then stats because I think I'll learn more and if I try to get my Master's eventually, I don't want to ha...

I'm taking Chem 1 in the spring (it's a 4 hour class that has lab if you take it in Va Beach and no lab in Norfolk - weird, huh?). Then College Chem fall '10 (or Micro). What other classes are you taking? I have all my maths - Alg. I, II, Clg Alg, th...

Hi Cyn, You and I are so alike with our schooling! :) I am thinking more and more about Sentara's program because of getting my BSN right away instead of just ADN and it gives me 3 years to get there (which is a long time in kiddo years - puts my you...

I'm taking Bio 100 (have you had that) and Alg 1 (because I suck in math!!!). Next semester is Chemistry and AP 1. I'm taking AP II over the summer '10 (I know that's hard but it to apply to TCC for early admission). What are you doing?
