  2. Fellowships or Scholarships for NP Students

jmuhammad10, I totally understand your perspective about taking out loans to go for your NP. I do not know which state in which you reside, but do a google search to see if there is an agency that advocates for rural health or underserved populations...

  5. Do any nurses work "normal" hours??

Hi there, I currently teach a CNAI course through my local community college. I am full time, and work 8-5, with an hour lunch break, no nights, no weekends, no holidays. I understand that most CNA instructors are part time and the full time jobs are...

  12. RN position at new ALC

ch232, I could totally be wrong as I live in NC and you may not. It is my understanding that ALFs do not have to have a nurse on staff at all. It is a SNF that must be staffed with nurses (as well as CNAs). So if this is true, the nurse would be "ext...

  20. Hospitals don't pay, but I need experience!

Some have already stated this, but you can get some acute (but more stable) residents at a SNF. Don't think that you will not have trachs, wound vacs, dressing changes, feeding tubes, IV pumps, critical labs, etc... just because you are at a SNF. I ...
