I am a 61 year old CNA in Home Health care.

I wonder which one told Ma students they could make 65,000 being a MA?

I noticed they are actually lowering wages for CNA's in my area of Florida . Now see openings for 8 per hour used to be 10 we have high unemployment and they can get away with it.

I have read were some private schools have been lying to students telling them they can make 65,000 per year as a MA lol

I am in Florida and I have never goten a job that I had not gone and applied in person. Start going to every assisted living and home health agency inperson you will get a job I am sure.:)

I worked at 2 places like this in Florida. My last job was for 1 Day and I quite had 30 people had to do laundry none of them were turned all had bruises down there legs laying in stale urine and on Oxygen no depends we had to borrow them from others Private agency work is so much better

You are better than me.. I would not have lasted 9 months. I worked at a LTC facility that had 26 and one other helper 16 year old male with no training. Besides are regular duty we had to cook dinner and mop the floors and serve dinner and do dishes lol . They had been reported many times but they were alwys given a week or more notice

I am confused in Florida a Medical assistant can draw blood but not a LPN?

Here in Florida it is a little different. lol CNA,s do work at ALF,s I do. They can give out med,s after a 1 or 2 hour crash course. We also are licensed you can look up anyone license on the Florida board,s website and CNA,s are there

In florida you can in Home Health care you just work as a CNA with CNA pay. The agency I work for does this

Yes they are doing that here in Florida too. Why not you ask? Because I would hate to have the Medical Nursing field become like Walmart with lower and lower wages.

Work at lot of OT and move in with your parents if you can

This is our buzy season down here in Home Health Care. I love working in Home Health ,just remember you can register with more than one agency.I have a friend who makes 42,000 per year down here doing that
