  1. either way, thank you. You are always so helpful :)
  2. no ya, forget the scholarship thing, it was just the scholarship lady who was the one who came in to talk to us and she made it sound like there are only broward health professors at Central campus and only memorial professors at south.. thats what i needed clarification on. meaning, if i go to central, is there any remote chance of being paired with a professor at say memorial regional or any other memorial facility
  3. Hey there current BC Central Nursing Students, I am a new nursing student starting at Central Campus of BC in January. We had our nursing orientation meeting today where they discuss the classes, books, and do a bunch of paperwork. However when the lady came in to discuss the possible scholarships for the 2nd semester, she either made it sound as if none of the Central campus professors are from any memorial hospitals but all from Broward hospitals.. either that or I misunderstood something. I had a classmate in Micro currently enrolled at Central campus in process II who told me that there are a few random professors that work at different Memorial hospitals including even Memorial Regional, and that it would be an option to switch with say another student that did not want to drive as far when the professors are assigned.. who is correct or am I completely off.. any insight?
  4. Thank you so much. You have been extremely helpful . I will keep checking because my "perfect class schedule" may still be available. I am also going to go speak to a counselor at Central campus. When i first went for advising right after being admitted to BCC i sat for over an hour in the main building i think it was building 19 if i remember. After waiting more then an hour they told me i had to go to the nursing building, 8 and talk to someone there but i didnt even get to a see a counselor or anything there, just a lady at the front desk... do you know who specifically I should try to contact and where I go to see them for advising specifically on the nursing career path and/or HCP class override?
  5. sadly I missed my shot, was not expecting another class to open and was not checking it regularly, i will start doing so though. Also the 2 teachers you recommended do not seem to have any classes open. The schedule i was originally going to sign up for would have been mon and wed between like 10am and 5pmish... however, by the time open signups rolled around, all i could manage was 2pm-9:30pm >. Thanks for the tips btw, the teachers i did end up getting are Robert Olton for A&P1, Elena Cainas for the lab and Joseph Lawry for Chem Anyone who knows anything about them the info is appreciated Also. the lab coat we need, has to be bought from the BCC book store? heh, my mom is a nurse and shes trying to make me use one of her old ones... dont know if theres any requirements on it.
  6. currently central. just starting up the new prereqs this january after graduating from FIU in a worthless major. after this semester ill only have A&P2 and lab and this core course to take then im ready.
  7. I went to sign up for my pre-reqs this semester wanting to get this class out of the way. However, do to the fact that I'm just starting at BCC this coming term (Jan 09), my signups were not until Nov 17 (past Mon). Before this date, every one of the HCP core classes was overfilled. I had heard that it is possible to take the course at other locations.. like McFatter, Sheridan tech. etc. But when i looked at their course hours and whatnot on their site, their classes are 5 weeks, about 6 hours a day, 3 days a week. This is far diff from BCC's 6 weeks 6 hours 1 day a week... has anyone taken the course at another location in a place where they only was 1 day a week for six hours like BCC? Either that or does anyone know if there will be another 4 classes opening up later in the semester? once the first 4 have ended?
