  1. Getting into Umass Dartmouth?

It seems from everything I've read about BCC, it's nearly impossible to get in. I have a BS in Business from Umass Dartmouth ('03), and really wanted to get an ASN so I could just get out there faster. Now that I know how tough it is to get into BCC...
  2. Any future classmates of mine on here??? I'd love to get in touch!
  3. St. Joe's Tuition

Does anyone know what 2nd and 3rd year tuition is at St. Joe's? Do they charge by the credit like colleges do? I am seriously getting worried whether we'll be able to afford it . I will have all my prereqs done except Micro by the time I get there.
  4. St. Joe's Tuition

Oh I completely agree...it's better to have some loans than it is to wait around forever trying to get into the cheaper state programs. We all know how frustrating that is!!! I actually work at a hospital that HAD one of those programs...for next yea...
  5. St. Joe's Tuition

Do they base tuition by the credit, like colleges do? For example, the first semester the only class I will need is nursing 100 which is 10 credits. Do they charge X dollars per credit and multiply it by ten to come up with my tuition amount? How do ...
  6. The handbook says they take BIO 20 from BCCon page 9 :)
  7. Thanks so much for all the info Josh. Sounds like I *might* be able to keep my job the first semester, depending on the clinical schedule I get. I am praying for early mornings. Basically what I earn pays for day care...no day care, no school. UGHG...
  8. Hi Josh! Thanks for the reply :) Nicci has been awesome about answering my questions, she's great. How do you like it at St. Joe's? What is your schedule like the first and second semester? I'm not sure if everyone is different?
  9. Sure :) It's [email protected] and my name is Marianne. Nice to "meet" you lol. There's another St. Joe's student on the boards, she's in her second semester of her first year right now and has answered a ton of my questions. I can't wait for orient...
  10. Congrats on your acceptance! I'm excited but a little freaked out at the same time lol #1 paying for it and #2 actually getting through it!!!
  11. St. Joseph's at Fatima?

Hi Lillies :) I know it's an admission requirement for St. Joe's to get into the nursing program. As for CCRI, they use it to place you in a level for your courses. I don't remember what the actual number ranges are, but I know you need to score a c...
  12. St. Joseph's at Fatima?

Hi All - I live on the MA/RI line and I'm looking into pretty much any affordable nursing school in the area. I put in an application for St. Joe's program but really don't know very much about it. I have tried calling a couple of times but never ge...
  13. St. Joseph's at Fatima?

I think you should be able to get the HESI done by the 17th. I actually thought it wasn't that difficult. I scored in the 90's without studying at all since I really had no clue what was on it other than the very basic information they initially give...
  14. CCRI SNAP Program

I called CCRI's nursing dept when I was putting applications in a few months ago and the person I spoke with told me they no longer offered it.
  15. St. Josephs open house!!!!!

Honestly I was shocked at the number of people there. Each room was literally overflowing with people. I saw the first presentation about financial aid and got to ask a couple of questions but didn't like the answers...I already have a BS in Business...

  18. Getting into Umass Dartmouth?

Thanks for the info. I work at St. Luke's as a HUC, so I'm *hoping* that I can make friends with one of the clinical instructors when they start up again in January for the spring semester LOL
  19. St. Joseph's at Fatima?

Thanks for the reply! So I don't have to wait THAT long to find out lol...some schools wait until JUNE to let you know either way. The wait is a killer but I'm not getting my hopes up, it's just so competitive to get in.
  20. St. Joseph's at Fatima?

Thanks for replying NSalvador! Wow that is a long application window. I just checked their site and they're taking them until March. Do you remember when you got your acceptance letter? I did well on the HESI (between 90 and 94) for reading, vocab, ...
  21. St. Joseph's at Fatima?

I'm not sure yet...I still have another application to get through...Massasoit. Yikes all this stuff is making me crazy lol
  22. St. Joseph's at Fatima?

Thanks for the reply! I have an app out to BCC, UMD and now St. Joe's. CCRI has too many pre-reqs just to apply. I think you're right about the economy driving people back to continue their educations though...I know that CCRI has seen a huge increas...

Thanks for your help. There is sooo much to study. I'm hoping it's not too hard and 2 days of cramming is enough!
