Private universities are easier to get into and if you want to apply to MDC then apply to theaccelerated. That should increase your chances.

I am not sure how it is working now, but when I started in the program the school gave us our skills bag with sterile gloves and everything.

The seat deposit does get paid back because they include it as payment for your classes. So for the deposit I would not worry.
