My program you have to call before test time. You can only miss one test per class. Instead of a retake, the final counts twice. If you miss more that one test then you recieve a 0 for the second, third, fourth... tests.
  9. Undecided Student

One of the RNs I work with used to be an LPN. She got tired of doing almost the same work as an RN (in her state she could do everything except IV pushs). She got tired of doing all the work without all the pay so she went back to school for her RN...

LOL. I sprained my ankle when I was 15yo. My mother took me to the local ED for xrays just to make sure it wasn't broken. They have an ambulance bay and a private vehicle drive. My mother picked the closest non-handicap parking spot(which wasn't t...

  20. Change in NCLEX Questions??? BIG NEWS

The rumor I heard was that the new computer testing centers had to have sound capabilities. This makes me think that at some point they will introduce heart/lung/bowel sounds. Remember: 15 out of 75 questions are pilot questions that you will NOT be...
  21. Male SN mistaken for a doctor

    1. I think this is a common misconception among ELDERLY people. They are so used to growing up doctors were males and nurses were females. 2. If she is confused, the most she will remember is a few minutes or an hour (depends on the level of confus...

An ER nurse here in town a few years ago got fired after allowing someone to bring in a primate (I can't remember if it was a gorrilla, orangutange, chimpanze, or what) into the ER because it wasn't breathing and starting CPR on the animal.
