I think your first year they give you kinda like a freebie, then you have to do CEUs. What works is taking up a course than you can attribute to RN prereqs. Most of the classes required for RN programs can pass as CEUs :)

I chose LVN because it was the first nursing program that accepted. When I applied, there were very minimal prereq requirements so it the application process was easier. I've been working and going to school. There is an 8 month bridge program I'm lo...

The only downside of being an LVN/LPN is that you are limited to where you can work.. no one really know what you are and you're mostly appointed the "nitty gritty" work load. Its like we're a dying species!! Despite it all I've thoroughly enjoyed my...
if you think you can do better.. you're probably right. have a drink.. shake it off and start again. don't let it get the best of you. focus, take your time. best wishes :)
don't study about 3 days before the test.. burn your books and throw away your notes. just relax.. you can't possibly cram any more information into your brain days before the exam. give your brain a break.. get plenty of sleep in case you can't slee...
failing a test does not make someone "stupid". failing a test does not mean you will not be a good nurse. it doesn't hurt to try again.. this time, be organized. get an NCLEX review book (i recomend saunders). study the questions and rationales.. and...
75 is a very very good number. most test takers always feel puzzled with their performance. NCLEX is just one of those tests. when you take the nclex they usually provide you with a pamphlet. the pamphlet says that about 80% of first time US educated...
i hate it when people find out that i'm a nurse and naturally assume that i am an "rn" and i'd have to explain that i am an LVN and their reaction is almost always "LVN? Whats that?". At my facility, LVNs do as much (if not MORE) than the RNs. LVNs t...

Hey guys i found out last night that I passed my NCLEX at 85 questions. I think the NCLEX questions are more straight forward than the Saunders. Almost every single question was a priority question.. and I don't remember doing a lot of those using Sa...
i took the nclex and stopped at 85.. i know its uncertain if i passed or not based on the amount of questions.. just curious to know how many out there passed and failed at 85?

ashley michelle.. i can't imagine what you must have been through.. I have never seen a code or experienced one for myself either. i'm not yet a nurse.. just took my nclex about 2 weeks ago (still anxiously waiting for results). As i'm waiting.. i ha...
i just took my NCLEX in CA too and i know how you feel about the wait.. its horrible! i know you will be a great nurse because you haven't given up! I wish you the best my friend! I will pray for you
If you review the tests and repeat them, eventually you will memorize the q &a's (i sure did). Taking notes especially on the questions that you get wrong help a lot. like you said "repetition is key" and what better way to learn the wrong answer...
