  1. Hi Katt! Everything depends on when your police clearances expire. I had to request new ones because they’re only valid for 6months in my country and they were already expired by the time I had the interview. ALWAYS take the originals with you. You’ll be asked to hand them over in the interview. Hope this info helps. Xx
  2. Thank you Katt. My agency requested the expedition but I have no idea what kind of argument they stated... I got the interview date a couple of weeks after the expedite. Hope you get news soon. Xx
  3. Hi MiloBe! My case was expedited by the end of November and I had the interview at the Embassy on 17th Dec. However, because I had the medicals done only 4 days before the interview my visa has not been issued yet... Only waiting for the medicals to be delivered to the Embassy. Hope this info is helpful. xx
  4. Hi Katt, I totally get how you feel... the waiting is killing me! I qualified in March and the only thing I heard from NVC is that they are aware I'm waiting ... at least they thanked me for my patience XD. Hang in there, we'll make it!
  5. Hi Katt! Unfortunately, I am still waiting... it is so annoying not to know how quick or slow they are scheduling interviews.... my whole life is on hold ? When did you become documented qualified by the NVC? Xx
  6. Vince_reads, may I ask how did you manage to go to the university to complete Med-Surg and OB and keep working as a nurse? Is this possible in the U.S? I am a European graduate and I believe I will have to do some courses to get the license for California... Thank you very much!!
  7. Hi nurses!! My name is Alicia, a NICU nurse currently working in the UK but originally from Spain. I was wondering if there are any other nurses out there who have signed a contract with O'Grady Peyton International over the last year. I would like to share some experiences, concerns... I signed mine by Feb'2020... It's all ready to go, but I am still waiting for the Visa interview due to the Covid lockdown and the huge backlog that it has caused in the US Embassies across the world. Anyone in the same/similar situation? Thank you very much. ?
  8. Hello everyone! I am a foreign graduated nurse. I've got a US Nursing license issued by New York state however, I would like to do the endorsement for California. The required curriculum prelicensure must have 9 quarter units of "Communications: oral, written and group". I lack this requirement since I completed my Nursing degree in my original country, Spain. Now, I've got the opportunity to get enrolled in this course: “English for academic purposes" (30 ECTS) run by The Open University. Will this course fulfill the required curriculum of Communications? Description of the course: This online module is aimed at both UK-based and international students who are planning to study or who are already studying at university. The course focuses on the development of academic reading and writing skills but will also help you make progress in speaking and listening in order to study successfully. It will be useful if you wish to improve your existing competence in academic English whilst studying or if your goal is to raise your IELTS scores to enable you to gain entry into a university of your choice. Many thanks in advance.
  9. Hi! I've got exactly the same problem! I am an international graduate, I've got a nursing license issued by New York but do not have SSN since I am still waiting for my visa interview. If you have managed to apply for endorsement/licensure in any way without needing SSN I'd really appreciate it if you could tell me how. You're not alone ? Many thanks!
  10. Thank you for your answer Silverdragon102. Do you know if there's any way to apply for licensure in California without having a SSN or ITIN? Best regards.
  11. Hello everyone! I have the Nursing license issued by the state of New York and I would like to apply for endorsement of that license to the state of California. I completed my Nursing Degree in 2013 in Spain however, I have been working in the United Kingdom since 2016 and as a NICU nurse since 2017. My Nursing Degree transcript has been approved by CGFNS and I have passed the IELTS successfully. I have completed several courses in English, one of them (Qualification in the Speciality of Neonatal Nursing) with 40 credits. My question is that if I am eligible to apply for the licensure endorsement to California in regards to the required curriculum. If that's not the case, which steps could I follow to obtain it? TIA.

  13. Hiya you all!! Has anyone already received their Visa (EB3) interview appointment at the London embassy? I would like to know how long it has been since your NVC documents were complete until you received the visa interview appointment. I have got all documents ready to go however, my appointment is late due to Covid restrictions and no institution can tell me when my turn will come. It'd be really helpful if someone could shed some light on this matter. TIA.
