Delay in Visa interview (U.S London Embassy)

Hiya you all!! Has anyone already received their Visa (EB3) interview appointment at the London embassy? I would like to know how long it has been since your NVC documents were complete until you received the visa interview appointment. I have got all documents ready to go however, my appointment is late due to Covid restrictions and no institution can tell me when my turn will come. It'd be really helpful if someone could shed some light on this matter.  TIA.

Hey Ally, I am currently stuck at this stage. Just wondering if you had your interview? Or are you still waiting?

Hi Katt! Unfortunately, I am still waiting... it is so annoying not to know how quick or slow they are scheduling interviews.... my whole life is on hold ? When did you become documented qualified by the NVC? Xx

Hi Ally, I've been qualified since June and still waiting. It is really frustrating ☹ especially at the last stage of the process. I really hope we do get an interview date sooner rather than later. Xx

Hi Katt, I totally get how you feel... the waiting is killing me!  I qualified in March and the only thing I heard from NVC is that they are aware I'm waiting ... at least they thanked me for my patience XD. Hang in there, we'll make it!

Oh wow that is a long time waiting. We will eventually get there haha. Please update me if you hear anything if you don't mind. All the best x.

Hi MiloBe! My case was expedited by the end of November and I had the interview at the Embassy on 17th Dec. However, because I had the medicals done only 4 days before the interview my visa has not been issued yet... Only waiting for the medicals to be delivered to the Embassy. Hope this info is helpful. xx

Congratulations Ally! Finally huh? I wish you all the best. I just wanted to know if you personally submitted the expedite or did your agency file on your behalf? Also how soon after the expedite aproval did you get a interview date? My expedite request was denied in October.

Thank you Katt. My agency requested the expedition but I have no idea what kind of argument they stated... I got the interview date a couple of weeks after the expedite. Hope you get news soon. Xx

Hello Ally RC, I hope all went well for you and you have arrived in the US. I have been given an interview date coming up soon, but I wanted to ask. When you did your interview did they ask to see your police clearance certificate at the interview?

I requested a new one from my home country but the delivery company seems to have lost it in transit?. I am worried about it. My old one current has 3 months until it reaches a year but I was told I need atleast 6 months.

Hi Katt! Everything depends on when your police clearances expire. I had to request new ones because they’re only valid for 6months in my country and they were already expired by the time I had the interview. ALWAYS take the originals with you. You’ll be asked to hand them over in the interview. Hope this info helps. Xx
