   Your an RN and now supervisor no offense but this 1 thing wrong no nurse with supervisor experience. LTC loves inexperienced RNs that can join their corporate team and boss the LPNs around! Long term care sucks just ask the overworked LPN.

    There are plenty of worthless office RNs in nursing homes. They never work or help on the floor they just come to tell you to work harder and take on more pts.Screw that nursing sucks and I do not recommend it to young people.

    How is it nursing homes get by with using LPNs on units with med Surg post op pts those pts need RNs. Most are not IV certified? I personally have refused to work those units as a travel LPN. The ratios are to high usually 1-15. Not worth the risk!

    Why is it every job I work an RN gets weeks of training with a another RN, but a LPN gets zero orientation and no respect. This is one reason I personally went to travel nursing!

    This is the trouble with so many new grad RNs I meet they have no idea what a nurse really does or they donnot even want to touch a pt. they are shocked when they get disrespect and given a unmanageable pt load! Just like all other nurses.
