Hi all. I am quite frustrated. I had an A&P II exam yesterday, and it was awful. Long story short, I did a Google search after taking the test and found a very large set of flashcards on cram.com that were made in 2011. I read through them, and found about 20 questions that were exactly the same as the ones on my test. Word for word, 100% the same. I don't know what textbook they were created from, but I do know that my professor has not been teaching since 2011. Clearly, she does not make her own tests and I can't help but see this as borderline plagiarism...
Have any of you ever had this problem before? I've heard about similar things happening at other schools, but I don't know what to do about it or if there's anything wrong with it in their eyes. I just don't think it's fair.
Thanks!
The main problem with this is that she says she makes her own tests. I forgot to add that above.
She makes her own tests by choosing what questions from the test bank to include. If she wrote her own questions you'd be on here complaining that the questions were poorly written or don't make sense. There's no problem here.
Not only do "most" undergraduate Professors use questions from Questions Banks, they recycle most of their test questions. That is why students try to get past exams from students who have taken the course. It is now vogue to not to have the students keep the exam questions these days, but these past exams are still out there in the wild and cliques within your courses have these exam papers (believe or not). Now you know where at least a good number of her test questions come from and you can act accordingly.

Which is exactly the reason why we have questionable nurses now who don't understand a lick of A/P. But, at least it's a brick and mortar institution so we know the OP is getting that "concrete" education . Please....
I actually understand why this is upsetting. If I worked hard to do all the reading and studied hard for a difficult test and then later found out that other people could have very well had the questions and answers beforehand, that would upset me. But it seems to be the reality. Even though it is known that test banks and questions/answers are available online, instructors continue to use them for some of the reasons that have already been stated here. I think it's problematic. But I see it as just one of many things that might be considered "unfair" in nursing school. I had to get over a lot of things and let a lot of things go to get to graduation. Keep working and try not to let this distract you.
There is no need to belittle anyone here.
No one has belittled you. Just because several respondents may have offered differences in opinions that might not have agreed with the viewpoints expressed in your original post, this does not constitute belittling.
Belittling a person is defined as making him/her seem unimportant or insignificant. No one on these forums has reduced your significance or made you seem unimportant.

But you stated only 20 questions were "Plagiarized" what about the other test questions? Also, I have to ask...would this be a concern of yours if the test was not "awful?" Look on the bright side, you know the origin of some of her test questions, now you can incorporate those flash cards into your study regimen.
