  1. Also read the brick and mortar remark about my education above. I rest my case. Now please delete this thread.
  2. There is a difference between offering a difference of opinion in a constructive way and doing it in a way that has that connotation. Regardless, I will be deleting my account. Clearly, questions are not wanted or welcomed on allnurses.
  3. Clearly you can't ask questions or question something someone else does on here without being belittled in some form or fashion by at least one person. Kinda ridiculous.
  4. There is no need to belittle anyone here.
  5. Again, I understand. Thank you.
  6. Okay, I get it. Thank you.
  7. The main problem with this is that she says she makes her own tests. I forgot to add that above.
  8. Hi all. I am quite frustrated. I had an A&P II exam yesterday, and it was awful. Long story short, I did a Google search after taking the test and found a very large set of flashcards on cram.com that were made in 2011. I read through them, and found about 20 questions that were exactly the same as the ones on my test. Word for word, 100% the same. I don't know what textbook they were created from, but I do know that my professor has not been teaching since 2011. Clearly, she does not make her own tests and I can't help but see this as borderline plagiarism... Have any of you ever had this problem before? I've heard about similar things happening at other schools, but I don't know what to do about it or if there's anything wrong with it in their eyes. I just don't think it's fair. Thanks!
  9. Waiting on mine as well!
  10. I am currently a pre-nursing student. I have applied for fall 2015 and should be hearing something within the next few weeks. I went up to Virginia for a vacation over my spring break to visit a friend who recently moved from where I live. He lives with some other friends of mine. He *was* generally supportive of my decision to be a nurse and cheered me on. That all changed while I was up there. He was talking about how "doctors and nurses have the easiest job" and when I asked him what he thought nurses did, he said that we just check on people and follow orders. This really made me upset. He is supposed to be my best friend, and I feel like a friend wouldn't put down my chosen profession over a little anger about a hospital bill. How do you guys deal with people like this? Should I still be friends with someone like this? My family and other friends are extremely supportive, but I don't know what to do about him. Thanks for any feedback. :)
  11. What classes/entrance exams do you have left? I've already taken the TEAS. I only have one class left (Micro), which I'm taking this summer. When will you begin submitting applications? I've already submitted my one and only application. I should hear something by the end of April. Feels like forever away. How many programs will you be applying to? Just 1! Have you already been accepted into a program? Nope!

Khan Academy should have some great stuff. I actually think there's a whole section on their website just for the TEAS. I'd also recommend watching some videos on YouTube and getting the online practice tests and doing those. They're $45 each, but very similar to the real test. Also, when you're done with the online practice tests, it will give you a breakdown of what you missed in each area, that way you can get a feel for what you need to work on. If you focus on those areas, you should be just fine! Good luck!
  14. Great job! It's a killer test. I studied for mine for like two months. Had the ATI book and went through it cover to cover, watched Crash Course and Keshwani Prep Videos, Khan Academy, you name it. I did everything I knew to do to prepare. I got an 80% overall, which is at the Advanced level. I needed at least Proficient, so I'm hoping I'll be high enough! I would definitely recommend purchasing the online practice tests from ATI. They are very similar to the real thing, both in form and in content. They also give you breakdowns of what you missed when you're done. You did great. I'm sure you'll do even better the next time! Good luck!!
  15. Hey! Sorry it took me so long to respond. My test wasn't bad. I scored an 80 overall. And no, the online ones are not the same as the ones in the book. They're more difficult but are VERY similar to the real test.
