Still haven't studied. That'll be tomorrow and Monday. Psych's not bad, mostly common sense and I'll simply be reviewing what I've already covered. Anyway, I'm caught up with my reading, have reviewed my notes after each class and scored in the mid to high 80s on the NCLEX style psych review exams. But wait, am I in denial? Or possibly rationalizing why I don't need to start studying...
I hope that come Tuesday, you don't get one of those rude awakenings that I used to get when I didn't study sufficiently. It really used to get to me, when I realized that I missed a whole grade difference by not getting to business like I should have.
BTW I have a test next Friday. Haven't started. See where I am now?
This sounds like me when I need to study. I think in reality its a control issue. They keep us so busy that we do stuff just to claim a piece of our lives back.Good luck on your test!
This is SO true! I really hadn't thought about it in those words, but yeah... really well said... i've been doing the same thing today.

I have a test coming up on Tuesday (1st of 2 psych exams) and am amazed at how many ways I've come up with to avoid studying today. Played with the cats, fed the fish, surfed CNN, TheOnion, local newspaper and The Nation, ate some yogurt and blueberries, drank a lot of coffee, turned on my volly rescue pager (general not duty), fed the cats, played with the fish, spread out all my notes, spent a lotta time on allnurses, am now contemplating going food shopping. It's actually been a pretty good day.
I did complete 2 writing assignments for class, so by "IRS" rules, it has been a school day. OK, time to buckle down....
