Do you actually have a local license? That is needed as well, not just the IELTS passing.
I have a local nursing license and an IELTS certificate and is now in the process of completing the required documents for New Zealand nursing registration, do you still need to take a qualifying exam for registration?

NZ will make their own assessment on your application and transcripts but may be required to complete a bridging program before they will issue you with a license to work over there

around four months. Given you passed IELTS, board exam, completed ALL requirements and ideal assessment time of NCNZ.

It really depends. If you're a second courser I think it would take a while. No need to have take a qualifying exam in order to be registered.
