President Biden thread

Published

Wow.  No one has started such a thread yet?

After promising that most K-8 students would be in schools in the first 100 days,  apparently Joe is afraid to lead on this and has drastically scaled back that goal.

Instead, we're shooting for about half to go to school at least one day a week,  by the end of April.

You've evolved from "it's really just about Biden's cognitive impairment" to bashing Dems for fun about our "nightmare fantasies".

(Trump as President is a nightmare)

Again, I thinkit's going to be Republicans that keep hom in check sich as stopping his pick for FBI director.

Was it a nightmare in 2016?

Yes I have evolved from it's just Bidens cognition. So? As I evolved I gained more knowledge and realized that the democrats have allowed radical extreemist to take over their party in the guise of "progressive".  So busy trying to virtue signal they didn't see that the voters may not be on board that woke train. Hence their loss.

Bash democrats?  Poking fun isn't the same as bashing. Might I add having been "bashed" by democrats as yes, the word in which we should not longer speak "NZ" because I support Trump,  I think at little throwback isn't unreasonable.

He wasn't on any high moral ground with those of us who have paid attention to his past history and also knew without a doubt he would pardon Hunter.  And he also knew all along he woukd pardon Hunter.

It was the liberal press who put him (and themselves) on higher moral ground while doing the opposite to Trump.

"S.E. Cupp marveled that "the contrast" between Biden and Donald Trump — who protested the politically-motivated zombie case brought against him by Alvin Bragg — was "profound.”

Andrew Weissmann declared that Biden was "living what it means to have rule of law in this country.”

Legal commentator Neal Katyal said he knew "no other word" for Biden's decision other than "presidential.”

Chris Whipple, the author of a book about the Biden White House, called his choice "extraordinary" and stood in awe of his "moral clarity.”

Biden biographer Evan Osnos expounded on his subject's "old-school" conception of his duty and agitation at "abuses of power.”

https://nypost.com/2024/12/02/opinion/media-lied-about-joe-biden-for-years-and-he-just-burned-them-for-their-obsequiousness/

The above opinion piece also reminds us that the liberal press was complicit in covering up lies about Hunter's laptop.  Covering up Joe's cognitive decline.  Advancing the "threat to democracy " narrative.

It's a shame that some are out of F's to give about criticism of them.

Yes, I remember you called him scum.

I read with interest your post but nothing from the anti-Hunter site NYPost, sorry not sorry.

I think for the most part the press treated the dreadful Trump and is daily lies and his election denial, and his paying off a porn star, his felonies...and well you get my point, fairly.  Biden and all of us have a higher moral standard than Trump.  Mind closed on that one as he's bottom of the barrel as far as I'm concerned.  Maybe this is why I'm all out of f's to give when criticized.

This is not to say I give Biden a pass for lying to us.  I don't and believe I said that along with the idea that those of us that criticized Trump for lying have to eat some crow.

At the end of the day he won the election and the popular vote and I've accepted that.  I also think we'll survive.

Yes.  I marched with a huge crowd then in the women's march afterwards.

I have always respected and expessed understanding of your and republicans throwback, I was just making an observation.   Bashing in my opinion is better than poking fun.  Poking fun and the giddy glee you exhibit seems a bit immature.

Maybe that's just sour grapes on my part.  I'll look at that.

I think even CNN knows the error made with the vigorous prosecution of Trump. Or at least the mass pin point focus on it. The voters weren't on their get Trump train. Or they really fear a dictatorship.

Maybe, I don't know what their analysis is.  But they admitted in 2016 that not calling Trump a liar, but saying things like "he's wrong", "he misspoke", etc. wasn't right.   So maybe they did decide to be a little more honest and vigorous. this time around.

I don't think they made a "vigorous prosecution of Trump" .  He did fine all by himself, all CNN had to do was report it.  I will certainly admit that CNN and their commentators did not like Trump.

But I won't buy into any idea that CNN is fake news.

You participated in the 2016 insurrection?  As someone who works in mental health I am wishing Trump the best for his second term.  The amount of trauma this man has had to endure since joining the political landscape is unimaginable.

No, I participated in the 2017 Women's March.  The insurrection was in 2020.

As an American, I too wish Trump the best for his second term and I believe I already said that.  I even was the first on this forum to say congratulations to him.  I'm an adult like that.

Looks like an insurrection to me.  "Protesting" democracy.  As for 2020 yes there were multiple insurrections that became so common it was hard to keep track of them.  The attacks on the Oklahoma and Tennessee capitals were both that year I believe.  BLM, ANTIFA and other far left black supremacist groups were out causing billions of dollars in property damage.  Sad times and a man who aided these groups was almost Vice President.  Hopefully Waltz and his daughter are fully held accountable for their crimes.

The Women's March of 2017 was a peaceful demonstration of people protesting Trumps policies. That is a right protected by the Constitution--right to free speech and free assembly.

Sure. I admit, I can be immature.  I prefer immature vs boring. (Not saying you are boring(

Immature is synonymous with children. Children are silly and want to have fun. I'm tired if the doom and gloom of the past 8 yrs. However I never meant to annoy anyone or to offend.

Is 'they admitted in 2016..... ' refering to CNN? I cannot think of any examples of this.

The amount of times that Trump's words and actions have been misinterpreted and misrepresented purposely doesn't make the voter believe that everything he says is a lie. So CNN can thank themselfs for that.

I was not refering to CNN with the vigorous prosecution.  They are just the conduit.  I should have been more clear. Yes they reported and they distorted and came up with some lies themselfs. They suggested strongly and associated him withbthe word not longer allowed to be spoken (NZ) then tried to play nice nice at Marda Logo. Demonstrating their complete lack of integrity.

Do you think that they would have  prosecuted anyone else the way they did Trump?
