Prereq GPA only for admission?

Published

Are there any schools that offer the BSN or ABSN program that base admission on prereq GPA and not overall GPA? I could really use some help! I'm willing to apply anywhere.

My school only looked at prereq gpa. Our Lady of the Lake College ololcollege.edu

Thanks, that's helpful!

CSU, Fresno... check out the website.

Northern Arizona University goes by pre req GPA...

I have a 3.8 gpa with my prereqs but only about a 2.5 with every class I took (wasn't the best college student right out of high school) so this was important to me too. I applied to Fitchburg State University in MA, Rhode Island College, Northern Arizona University, and the University of New England in Maine and got accepted to all of them because they only looked at my prereqs. Good luck!

To be specific...NAU "looks" at your overall transcript but is really only interested in your pre req GPA...

Meaning if I have a more overall GPA I won't get accepted?

I meant *low

They of course required our entire transcripts but during the "interview" they only focused on the GPA from our pre reqs...

Texas Women's University in Denton, Dallas, and Houston on compute pre-req gpa and the Hesi into their admission scores. They also look at how many times you took your sciences and where you did your prereqs.

Like everywhere else, you do have to send all of your transcripts and there is a minimums overall gpa to be admitted to the university and apply to the nursing program.

How does where you took your prereqs determine anything?
