Some cheese with that??? I graduated almost a year ago and in my graduating class of 52 there's not ONE single nurse not working that wants to work. Not one. I personally sent out four resumes when I passed the NCLEX and received three offers within two weeks with ZERO healthcare experience. So your "many, many new grads" assumption is false. Maybe take a look at your resume or polish your interviewing skills before making blanket statements. Good luck...

I never read... Not once... I did however go to every single lecture and take pages and pages of notes... Whatever works for you...

Kaplan Qbank... That's all I did to prepare... 50-100 questions, 5 days a week, 75 questions and passed... Just my two cents...

Kaplan Qbank... I did about 50-100 questions five days a week for about six weeks... Passed with 75 questions and 49 minutes... The school wife passed in 150 minutes, 80 questions and we studied the same way... IMO all you need to do are questions, all these test prep classes are a waste of money...

Well they can't really "require" that you take an external prep class now can they??? They can recommend it or offer partial compensation but they can't require it... If they want to keep their stats nice and high just educate their students well rather than try and force them to shell out $500 for a prep class... I found the Qbank ($40) worked just fine...

1st block student here... 3 weeks in and I'm regretting 25 hrs a week... Maybe I'll get used to it, but it's a grind... Organization is key...
