Its nice to know that its not just me that is driven crazy by the "we're pregnant", "we're trying to get pregnant". there is only one diffinition of pregnant and sorry fella you're not it.

The first time I heard this was a few months ago from a male co-worker. It's the first time I actually wanted to deck a co-worker. "We're Pregnant!!!!" He exclaims. Uh, no you aren't. You are physiologically incapable of getting pregnant. I do not think it's cute.

I also don't think "Brangelina" is cute.

I agree 100%! What ever happened to "We're expecting a baby"? Now, that's accurate!

I would guess it would make you just a little less angry after working with me for one day on call. I do epidurals for pregnant women and girls every week for whom the only contribution to the pregnancy or raising of the child was the few cc's of semen they contributed at conception. Haven't been seen or heard from since. Mom's going to raise that baby with no emotional, financial, or any other kind of support from the "baby daddy."

At least the men from the "we're pregnant" crowd are there and taking their responsibilities seriously.

By the way, I've looked. I can't seem to find the definition for the word "diffinition." Any help?

I like to make my dh think he's in on it; that way he bends over backwards to do things for me during preg. "We're pregnant" is staying.

Can't agree more.. We have been trying for 2 years and both have fertility issues. WE will be pregnant.

i , for one, can not see any difference with 'we're pregnant' or

we are expecting a baby

For those not quite as fast on the draw, this is exactly my point. Normally, I don't care about spelling mistakes. But, in the same vein, perhaps when a man says "we're pregnant," rather than being gritchy about the "we" aspect, perhaps we should just be grateful that there will be a child born with a daddy who claims them, and by all appearances will be there for them. So, "get over it."

But perhaps not. Perhaps we should all just vent about our little pet peeves, ignoring the larger issues.

I think 'we're pregnant' can stay, if we can forever get rid of my most disliked phrase- "take the baby".

Exactly! With the surgeries and tests and medications and doctors visits, I can assure you my DH has been through more to get us pregnant that me. When we get pregnant, it will be mostly due to all he's done. Me, I'm just kicking out an egg each cycle. And when I finally get to tell people about it all, rest assured-he's getting most of the credit, and WE will be pregnant.
