I need some quick advice on a few things. I would call my OB, but I feel like I have bothered her enough already with other things. I am seven weeks pregnant :loveya: and have already gained 13 lbs. I know this is a lot for just seven weeks, but I started out @ 95 lbs. so I am not too worried as I needed to gain some weight anyway.
My problem is, I am still to small for maternity clothes, but I need a new bra very badly. I am still (painfully) squeezing into my A cup and my sis says I look nearly a C cup. Do I just go and buy a maternity bra or just a bigger size bra and keep doing that for a while. I'm sure they have not invented some miracle adjustable cup-size bra yet. I don't know if maternity bras are for people who are huge and I feel like an idiot going to a maternity store when I only have a little gut. Acutally, it's not that little, but not obviously pregnant yet.
One more thing...I hate water. I know this is bad, but the taste of water makes me throw up. I was drinking Fruit-2-O, which is sweetened with splenda, but my doc says that can't be my primary source of water. However, I stopped drinking it and now am only drinking OJ and choc. milk. How important is water and should I just drink the Fruit-2-O some because I cannot stomach the plain stuff.

Hello,kbclary,:balloons:
You really need to call your OB and tell her that the water makes you ill. She is probably unaware of just how bad this is. Never be afraid to call your OB doc. Never. So, just call her today and see what she thinks about alternative drinks.:icon_hug:

Buy a bigger bra. They're not going to get any smaller, girl! At least not for a while. I would just buy a regular one...Not sure what you mean by "maternity bra," but if you're talking about a nursing bra, I would just hold off on that. In my experience, I didn't know exactly what size I would need by the time I started nursing, and since they're expensive, it served no purpose to buy one of those things early on. On the clothing issue, invest in some good drawstring pants. They're the best things until you're able to fit into maternity clothes. Good luck to you!
Most maternity stores sell a maternity bra and a nursing bra. I have no idea what the difference is, but they are both expensive. I will probably just go to Target. :)

My daughter works for Wacoal which is the bra Oprah and other rich people wear. My daughter is 33 wks and has gone up 3 sizes since becoming pregnant. She is a professional fitter and bra merchandiser. She has a bachelor's degree in this, believe it or not ! and this is her advice. Since you are normal sized breast person (unlike my girls who are triple EEE's) you would be fine going to Target or Wally World and buying a larger bra. You don't need a nursing (maternity bra) yet and it probably won't fit you by the time you deliever anyway.

"Bout the water thing- how bout a wedge or two of lemon, lime or orange squeezed into the glass of water? Not sweet but very thirst-quenching.
Congrats!

kbclary4-congratulations!
As far as maternity bras go, I believe they are much like sports bras and not as comfortable or supportive as regular sports bras. Some maternity bras are the nursing type bras with snaps and flaps, etc which you don'tneed yet. I would buy a sports bra they worked the best for me (x4) and go one cup size up from normal to allow for growth.
As far as drinking water, I can relate, I hated water also, I used to buy sparkling water (like perrier) a long time ago before theflavored sparkling waters came out, last time (3 years ago) I drank the flavored sparkling water like the Wal mart brand, but I never noticed what the sweetener was in it if it was regular sugar or artificial, so check the labels and always follow your doctors instructions as far as whether or not it is ok.
The weight gain sounds like a lot, but maybe you were a tad too thin (?) not sure what your height is but it sounds like you are still ok.

How about half water, half juice? Just look for juices without artifical sweetners. You will definatly see a wt gain drinking milk and juices all the time.
