Pregnant!! Anyone else?

Published

My husband and I debated for several months on whether or not to wait until I am finished with school to have a baby. We decided to go for it and got pregnant the same month :)

I will be in PEDS/Med Surg II next semester, then I will deliver my last semester - March 2009 (I am going to try to get induced over Spring Break - 8 days before my due date).

Anyone else expecting while they are in Nursing school? Anyone accomplished this or know someone who has? Any advice?

thanks :)

I am so sorry to read this. I have been where you are right now and I know what you are going through. Now God has blessed me with a wonderful son who I love with all my heart. I just feel he wanted my first baby back with him sooner because they were so special. My prayers are with you.

Oh I am so sorry. I just wanted to say you are in my thoughts..

I am so sorry to hear about your loss. I also had a miscarriage at 6 weeks before I had my daughter. It's heartbreaking but it also makes us realize how blessed we are now having a healthy and beautiful little girl.

I was 16 weeks pregnant when I got the admission letter from the school last year. Then, I had everything planned--was going to deliver my little one and went back to school. However, it turned out my daughter was breech and had to be delivered by a C-section. Everything was out of my control in the end. I wasn't able to go up and down for 2 weeks and was in pain for a whole month. I deferred my study to this coming fall. But I have never regretted my decision. It's precious watching my little one going through all the developments. Anyway, things might not be working as we want sometime but it has its purpose in the end.

Good luck and my best wishes to you. ((HUGS))

I guess I spoke too soon. Unfortunately I think, and the dr's think, I am having a miscarriage. I've been bleeding and cramping and when they took my hcg levels they were 11 (and i was 6 weeks, so it should have been about 2500). The dr in the ER could not confirm through ultrasound but I have a follow up appt with my ob/gyn and they said he would be able to confirm it once taking my hcg levels again. But I want to thank everyone again for their support and say i wish all the mom's expecting the **Best**! HOpefully i'll be making my original announcement again in a few months!

OMG I am so sorry!!! :cry:I have also been there twice! While pregnant with my baby, I found out I was having twins! I lost one of them:saint:...at 4 months...and somehow, my daughter made it! Before this pregnancy, i lost another one too. It is heartbreaking and I offer you my entire support. Take a rest and when you least expect it- you will find yourself pregnant! I wish you the best of luck in nursing school and in the baby-making...but always remember your health is 1st and nursing school 2nd!! :) HUGS!!!:loveya::loveya:

Wow guys, I guess I am not alone either...I lost my son at 38 weeks. He was considered a stillborn but it is rough no matter how old the little one is. You will get through it but never get over it. I am so sorry to hear about your loss. You are in my prayers
