A&P for me was time consuming because we had classwork and lab. (like everyone does). I am not sure if every school's A&P course is set up this way but in lab we had quizzes every week and plus we had to learn the entire skeletal system and muscular system...all the while trying to keep up with the in depth course work from the lecture end of it. It got to be A LOT of information. It was like having two really in depth classes at the same time. It was really great when we would have our lab practical on the skeletal system on Monday night in lab and also have a test in lecture. I pulled through though, I got an 87%. I will have an "A" in A&P II, thankfully I am able to have the same professor as I did for A&P I.
That lab did not coincide with the lecture end at all, so that was a big part of it for me. I am not sure how your course is set up though.
I hope all of this mumble made sense to you.
Other than that my pre-reqs have gone really well but I have sacrificed a lot of time spent away from my new husband and family and friends. Like my A&P professor said, nobody is going to care about your future more than you, so it is in your hands to make your dreams happen.
You will find A&P has lots of reading and memorizing and understanding of the workings of body systems. Actually, psych and sociology will have a lot of reading and understanding as well but the concepts may be easier to understand. Statistics will either be super easy or really difficult but it's crucial for critical thinking skills and any kind of research you do or look at.
Those courses are only difficult if you want them to be. Statistics is challenging, you have to go home and do the hw exercises repeatedly everyday. The other classes are pretty easy, just study. Also, if you don't have one already, purchase a recorder, it really helped me when I might have missed vital information.
