If a school gave you a certain timeframe to expect a letter, at what point do you call the school if yours hasn't shown up? I still have tomorrow and Friday before their estimated deadline, so I'm still hopeful, but there's always that little voice... The good news (sort of) is that I was talking with a fellow nursing hopeful in my class and she hasn't received any letters yet either, so at least that eliminates the 'lost in the mail' fear :)
I would call today! because I am crazy like that. :)
Just a general question....when did the decision letters go out because I didn't recv mine yet....
So you should get a letter any day! You better check in with us!:balloons:

At least you guys get to check the mailbox "the letter" will arrive in... I used my parents address as my "permanent" addy because I am about to move.
The other day my mother called me and started the conversation with "dont get excited yet but you just got a letter for XYZ school" I knew it was way too soon to know but I asked what size the letter was and she replied its small but its from the school! (in a very excited tone) i quickly told her to open it and read it to me. turns out its just a letter saying they received everything and i am being evaluated.
my mother then got to hear a lecture from me about how small letters = BAD and BIG packets = good :) and that if she calls me up excited about a small letter and gets my hopes up again like that she wont get to see any grandchildren (if and when I ever have any)

HAHAHA, Jezziemis, that's funny!! Threatening with the possible grandchildren that don't yet exist!! :)
My husband thought he was funny and was like, hey look what came in the mail today...I turned and told him he was just plain mean because i called the one school I have been waiting on that very day and they told me that they are just starting to review applications and I wouldn't hear back for another 3-4 weeks. Thank goodness I had called, I would have been sooo mad at him otherwise!! Big meanie!
No grandkids, what a riot!!!
GottaGetIn: I just emailed the asst dean of the program i applied too. I thought it would make me feel better, but now i feel like trowing up, im sooo nervous about what she is going to say, she may not even respond, although she has responded to all the emails i have sent her since october (which were 2 of them really)
Can I just tell you guys that I absolutely cannot function!!
My apartment is disgusting, its sooo embarrassing. I have no desire to clean it what so ever. I open the door, see the mess (i live in a studio), step over everything and make a bee line for my bed. I'm barely passing my Dev. psych class, since i can't concentrate on it. I slapped down a pretty penny joining martial arts classes and haven't gone to any of the classes since the first two days:uhoh3:
All ive been doing is reading, any fantasy and fiction book i can get my hands on, watching cartoons, eating rum and raisin ice cream and literally sleeping my life away.

what nursing school have you applied to. Have you applied other places or just the one school?
