Isnt this cool?
Congrats! Call your school financial aid office (or maybe the department even has one?) and see if they can healp you. At least it might ease your mind a bit.
I did it, I went to my financial Aid office to grab FAFSA form, then they fed me with BS of how are they not sure if I qualify for any financial help because I arleady have the degree from that college..they said the decision will be made in the middle of July:o I am really trying to avoid going down the road of taking out private loan..my first nursing semester wont be as much costly as the second one, which i heard is the toughest one two, I will have 4 classes, Pharmacology 1, Pharmacology 2, Med-Surgical, OB, its is said that Pharmacology class is the taughest one in the whole nursing program and a lot of people do fail it, im thinking to take intro to pharmacology this upcoming summer to get the idea of what im getting into, but my major worries is basically the financial ones...
Im impatiently waiting for my orientation June 18...today was at Walmart searching for gooddies from the nursing forum thread; things you need to have in nursing school, I made a list and wrote it down I couldnt help my self and bought manual blood pressure, starting tommorow my mom will be my patient:uhoh3: Now im ashame to admit it I also bought siringe, the one you use for kids to give them medicine at home As I was holding it in my hand, I had no idea what to do with it, not to mention I cant tell the difference between gauze and bandage...tape?? What is that?? You mean school tape:uhoh3: ? Oh I got it the medical tape, that kind of look like school tape:lol2: Did you watch the movie Gross Anatomy? I kind of feel like those medicine students as of right now...totally green about medicine stuff:monkeydance:
I just want to say good luck to you all in your upcoming success!!!
I'm in my second year of nursing, and boy...I didnt know HOW much work it actually was.
Some advice:
1. Time manage
2. Prepare
3. Attend all lectures...if you miss one, youre not in good shape!
4. Listen!
5. Study notes when you get home so youre not cramming info into your brain the night before!
I dont know if that helps at all, I'm sure all of you already know this...
I wish you all good luck!!! Have fun, and maybe I'll see you around somewhere!!! :)
