I applied to ADN program for Spring '07 admission today

According to the Nursing director I have a 50/60 % chance to get in......how about that huh????

But I needed to start somewhere sicne I only have 3 classes left and all you need to apply is math competency and completion of A&P 1. I still have to take A&P2, Ethics and Human Growth & Development and if I complete those with A's my chances will grow for the fall '07 admission.

She told me that it is hard to say whether I get accepted or not and not to get my hopes too high ....the deadline is Sep 8th. She has no idea how many people have applied so far. All she knows is that it is extremely competitive, that there are some with 4.0 but also enough with C's (C's absolutely don't fly whatsoever at our school and she said that there is NO chance to get admitted with C's but people don't want to hear that) .....so all I can do is just wait and see. What made me feel good was that she wrote "A in Anatomy and Physiology" on the front of my application paper in big fat black ink :lol2: The A&P1 grade is the MOST important at our particular program.

I am not getting my bloodpressure up over this since my chances are so slim to get in at this point.....I am sooooo surprised as to how calm I am. As long as I am able to take the denial letter this well once it gets here I'll be ok;)

It will take a miracle at this point that's for sure but I feel that I took the first step and will keep trying and will definitely bust my butt in my remaining classes and aim for nothing less but A's.

I also just applied a little over a week ago for spring 07. They told me I should know by the 1st of october and im already counting down the weeks! I have all A's but i have not taken a&p2 yet. Good luck in a&p 2 and getting in!

Good luck! I just moved from San Antonio. I miss it like crazy. I took my some of my prereqs at SAC and Northwest Vista College.

All A's that's great! I only got a B in Chemistry :madface: but have A's in the others....good luck to you too.
