HESI question and info needed...

I am a new member and curious if anyone is applying to the nursing program at OSUOKC? I am getting prepared to take the HESI but curious as to the things I need to focus on, especially on the math section. Any help is greatly appreciated!

basic math, fractions, simple equations... I recommend the review book

mine had a ton of ratio equations where you solve for x. And know liquid measurements for example: how many ounces are in all larger measurements. I wish someone would have told me to know those.

I got my acceptance letter about a month ago...orientation is Aug. 17th. Yay! I scored 98 on the Hesi for OSUOKC and found I was over prepared. I used the evolve study guide and reviewed my own anatomy and physiology notes. Fractions, ratios, proportions....everything that was in the study guide. Do you have any more specific questions I could try to answer? Have you taken all the prereqs? Are you in OKC.....I wouldn't mind giving you some pointers....I know I was super worried about the test and didn't really have anyone to ask about it. Let me know.

Congrats on getting in!! I am sure you are relieved! I am in the OKC area. I will be taking the HESI this fall. I'm nervous about taking it. I hope I feel over prepared!! I would love any additional info you can give me. I do have the Evolve study guide, as well as one I purchased from Barnes and Noble. I just finished up physiology this semester, which was my last prereq. Now just waiting and getting ready to start studying for the HESI. I may try to find a math tutor. Good luck to you.

The math section is the MOST like the study guide. If that is the part you're most worried about just really go over everything in the guide and you'll be fine. I'd be happy to meet up with you once or twice to review everything if you'd like...save your money...no need for a tutor. I'll be at OSUOKC most days...we could just go to the LRC or Library for a few hours. I'm sure you'll feel much more relaxed if you feel prepared.

I took it at a school in Dallas, TX and yes you need to know your conversions (pounds, ounces, liters, etc.) I have to retake the math myself...
