Fall 2012 A&P2 students where are you??!!

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Hello everyone, who has started A&P 2? I know we can all use support from each other. I for one have started class and my first day was yesterday. The syllabus doesn't look to bad. I just hope I will enjoy this more than A&P1. Organization is the key to our success and having a memory like an elephant wouldn't hurt either! Lol!!

SopranoKris I just love Leslie Samuels videos!!! He helped me get through A&P last semester and I've also been checking hm out this semester too!! Well, I have my midterm in Lab nextThursday. We only have a midterm and animal in there and they both count for 33% of the grade. I also had to submit a paper this week too; it's worth 30 points. Everyone lets give this our all seems like we're making it!!! :)

Gearing up for Exam 2 next week. This time we're covering Neurons/Nerves, Action Potentials, Senses, Special Senses & Motor Neurons/Motor Nerves. A lot of this ties in to what we learned last semester in Anatomy. I'm glad I kept my notes so I can review sarcomeres & neuromuscular junctions!

Anyone going to take Pathophysiology after this course? It's required for the BSN and I was thinking of taking it while I'm waiting for nursing school to start. (Have a 9 month gap between getting accepted and actually starting the program).

Kinda happy I got a 49 out of 50 for lab practical. I always do good for lab practical. For A&P 1, I mostly got 50 out of 50 and my teacher said A&P 2 lab practicals are easier than A&P 1. I think the avg was 45, so we all did good. She changed the date for exam 2 since it is the hardest of all. I will have plenty of time to study. I am going to study 3 hours a day starting today. I really need to get around 80-90.

Awesome job! I had a lab report to do that was worth 30 pts. I squeezed a 27 out of 30 with a 97 on the lab midterm. We are doing great!!

Hi! I'm new here =)

I am so much better in lecture than in lab... just pulled a 101 in lecture over endocrine/blood/heart but an 85 in lab over the same. As long as it averages out to an A, I'm good!

SopranoKris, I'm taking pathophysiology as well as pharmacology in the spring. Patho sounds interesting but I'm not looking forward to pharmacology. Also taking a human sexuality class just for kicks, since I'm done with everything else I can do!

101? awesome! reminds me of this woman who always get above 100 in all exams. She's over 40 I believe and gets over 100 :\. I wish I was that smart. Oh, the max is 105 since she puts bonuses question.

Just had exam 1 which covers the endocrine and cardiovascular systems. It was tough but I think I did well. Really quite interesting especially the physiology aspect.

Endocrine and heart are the hardest chapters, that's what I think. In here, it is different. Exam 1 is special senses and endocrine, exam 2 is heart and blood vessel. It would suck to take the 2 hardest chapters together . ;\

I'm taking Pharmacology this semester and it's the bane of my existence. It wouldn't be so bad if I didn't have so many other classes. The volume of mandatory reading is astronomical and it's a LOT of non-intuitive information to absorb. If you're good at Biochemistry, you'll do good in Pharm. If you hate Chem (like me) than it's not that much fun. :(

I'm really looking forward to Patho because I'll finally be at university instead of CC to take it.

Omg!!! I'm not a fan of Chemistry!!

Hi All- I'm new to this post, but finding it so helpful! Thanks Nurse2b7337 for starting the thread.

I have my second exam for A & P II tomorrow. In fact, I'm 'studying' right now! LOL!

The first exam was Endocrine. This one is on Blood and the Heart. I'm finding A &P II pretty fascinating, not boring at all so far. I hope I can keep up the momentum and positivity. Made an A on the first exam. Fingers crossed for another A tomorrow.

Best of luck to everyone!

Cheers!

MaddyG you're welcome!! Hoping you'll do awesome of the test tomorrow. I think that for sure I'm enjoying A&P2 far better than 1.
