Awaiting word...starting to sink in!

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Published

I finished all of my prereqs, studied and took the TEAS V, and finally had my application appt to submit all of my records! It is hard to believe years of hard work, was just condensed into a one page checkoff sheet, with official records stapled to the back!

I managed to pull off a 4.0 and a high enough TEAS score to excite my advisor! She couldn't tell me officially, but off the record she said I could go home and celebrate! I won't know until mid-May (wait is already driving me crazy) but I have started to let the idea of me being a nursing student next fall, sink in!

I am getting excited and nervous, and have spent hours on here soaking up any and all useful knowledge that I can!

Hard to believe I could be excited for two years of tortuous work...but I am!

How do you spend your waiting days? What are you going to do this summer? Anything pertinent I should read, or study ahead of time? OR should I just waste away my last free days!?

I am starting nursing school fall semester. I can't wait. I am going to spend my summer working to save gas money for the gas money I spend driving two hours back and fourth. Plus I have friends in the semester ahead of me and will study what they say.

I will be commuting too! I had been thinking about the gas costs...and this is a good idea! Maybe I will try getting a summer job of some sort to raise gas money. I figure I will go over A&P topics..it has been a while since those classes. I just want to make sure I am prepared and as ready as I can be!
