A&P 2 with microbiology

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

We just got our final grades and I ended up finishing my a&p 2 class with a 67 so I'll have to retake it to at least make a C. I was wondering would it be okay to take microbiology with it? I mean I know the anatomy information I just wasn't really putting my all, so that's why I didn't think a second time around would be too bad with them together

Two sciences with labs is very hefty, even for a star student. I am a strong student and still had to take A&P II, etc one at a time. I would ask you if you were taking any other courses other than A&P II and microbiology at the same time? Even though you are familiar with A&P II material it is more than just anatomy, there is more physiology focuses (making it harder in my opinion)--plus microbiology is another set of labs/exams/studying. In my personal opinion, I would always shoot to score an A--the only way I did this the first time around was taking these courses one at a time. Seeing as you struggled with A&P II, due to lack of effort or not, I would not recommend this, at all. Ultimately it is up to you! But no nursing school will fault you for taking them one at a time and doing your absolute best, versus doing mediocre (i.e. C) on two prereqs. Good luck!

I loved microbiology. It is more lab based than A&P II, so if you are a hands-on learner you will like it also. Since you have already taken A&P II, the material should be easy to grasp during your second attempt. It shouldn't be a problem to take both of the classes together. You can most definitely make an A in both classes if you put your mind to it!

If you ended up with a 67 in A&P 2, it means that you are far from proficient. Adding another course will most likely do more harm than good.

if you finished a&p with a 67 i wouldn't take it with another class, especially micro. You will end up possibly getting low grades in both. Dont worry about a time line just try to make the good grade,
