PRC license

Hi, I was wondering how long does it take to acquire a license here in the philippines after taking the NLE? For example, I took the board on June and passed, how many months will I get my license so I could already work?

hyveth, just wait for the schedule of registration after the oathtaking. Then after that, you can get your licenser after a month if you register here in Manila.

Try applying to every hospital you know... You know how it is... There are lots of unemployed nurses from June 2007 NLE passer, now let see what happens.....

hello..i just learned that i passed the NLE Dec. 2007:clpty:,

i want to ask what will I do next? i have no idea...:uhoh21:

can I already register in the prc?

congratulations on passing the exam! :)

From my experience, registration is done after the oath taking. And a schedule is followed based on registrants' last names. Hope this helps

Hi..

I took the NLE last june 2007 in baguio and still now they haven't released it....can i process it in manila though i registered in baguio?

What are the things to bring when claiming the card? Are there other things aside from the claim stub that was given when we applied during the registration?

Thanks!

Yes you could process it in Manila, I took the NLE in Baguio too and after the oathtaking, I went to process my documents for the license in Manila, it will took you a month before you could claim your hard license, all the instructions are posted within the newpaper to those who passed the NLE... basically it will include an accomplished oathform, 2 pcs. 2x2 picture with name plate, 1 pc. 1x1 picture with name plate, brown envelope, metered stamps (please keep the receipts)...

thanx lenjoy and rafaeltoney...

I'm residing in Mindanao, and I've read that it would take 3 months before the release of hard license outside Manila...:o

My concern is, what can I use as a proof that I passed the exam? I want to apply immediately in a hospital here...

Also, I'm planning to apply for licensure in Vermont, I have asked someone there about the license requirement, and they said that I can give them a copy of the license or board passing letter...is this something that is given to the passers by the PRC or I have to personally ask for it?

sorry I have so many questions, I really have no idea..:crying2:

I'm planning to go to PRC-Cagayan de Oro this Monday, I don't want to look stupid wandering in every window, I'm also expecting there'll be a lot of people there next week...

congratulations on passing the exam! :)

thanks rafaeltoney!!! I still can't believe that I passed...:lol2:

I've read that the oath taking will be on March 17 or 18, 2008, does it only apply in Manila?

I've tried opening the PRC Website since yesterday but I can't get through...:o

congrats! :)

you will apply for the certificates of board rating in prc, scheduled alphabetically.they have a regular & rush rate, mine is rush,php175 each.some hospitals accept applications even without a hard copy license but atleast with a board rating.well, its just a matter of demonstrating therapeutic communication with the personnel office.

hyveth

from my experience, i sent a fotocopy of my boardrating with my application for licensure in vermont.Along with the application i made a cover letter indicating that our lovely prc is a pentium snail processor.kidding :) jst tel d guys in vermont that u'l send d license wen it's available. worked for me..gud luck

Hyveth, after the oathtaking, you will be scheduled for the verification. You grade will be writtern in a piece of paper (handwritten). Some hospitals accepts that for the meantime because its also a proof that you passed the board exam.

Then after that, you will be scheduled for the license. You can also get a board certificate there. Then after almost 3 months, they'll send you the board certificate via snailmail.

Regarding your registration in Vermont, I dont think you should process it now. It would still take you time before you can pass the required requirements for the license. Your papers will not be process until after the oathtaking. As what is said above, it would still be on March. Then the schedule is written alphabetically so it would really take you time.. DOnt rush with things my dear. It will just come into place...

in cebu, it took 5 months after registration for PRC to release the actual license card. you can however get certificate of board rating in a week's time. you can use the certificate as proof that you passed the board to comply with the requirements of your local employer. However, if you apply for registration to a US BON that requires license verification process, PRC will require you to present a photocopy of the actual license card and your TOR. this is how it's done in Cebu. In Manila, processing of license card is faster as their data is encoded first and the rest of the provinces follow after that.

thanks guys! :icon_hug:

i guess i just have to wait....

for now I'll enjoy and celebrate this moment...*wine
