Prayer/positive thought request for a fellow nurse

Published

hi AN family,

i got some bad news today and am asking for prayers and positives thoughts for one of our own. a woman i used to work with, a very caring RN, and a mother of 2 young children, is in CVICU on a ventilator. she had oral surgery done a few days ago and has become septic and is now in DIC.

her prognosis is poor. she has a great team caring for her and we are hoping so much that she pulls through this. so, if you have any prayers to spare, please send them her way.

thanks. :redpinkhe

thank you so very much! i was just talking with my old instructor whom i absolutely adore and i told her about this site. she will probably join tonight. i know she will love it as much as i do! :redpinkhe

Any updates? I know it's been a few weeks, but I am still thinking about this nurse and praying for her too. Just wondering.

Prayers sent.

God bless.

here's an update on my friend.

she is truly a miracle. medicine alone did not do this.

she has been discharged from the hospital as of last week and is now in a rehab facility for a short time. she is alert and oriented and has few deficits, just deconditioning.

thank you all for your prayers and support for my friend. someone up there knew she wasn't finished here yet.

oh my gosh, i am so ecstatically happy for her, her kids, and everyone else involved in taking care of her through this horrible time, and especially you, flightnurse2b, for asking for the prayers and positive thoughts...i believe it made a huge difference in the outcome!!!

That is awesome news, Allison! Thanks so much for sharing - and I agree, this is not medicine alone. :yeah:
