hi AN family,
i got some bad news today and am asking for prayers and positives thoughts for one of our own. a woman i used to work with, a very caring RN, and a mother of 2 young children, is in CVICU on a ventilator. she had oral surgery done a few days ago and has become septic and is now in DIC.
her prognosis is poor. she has a great team caring for her and we are hoping so much that she pulls through this. so, if you have any prayers to spare, please send them her way.
thanks. :redpinkhe
well, just spoke with my friend at the hospital, and a bit of good news!
she is still on a vent and is being sedated around the clock, however they are trying to wean her off the diprivan as she is responding just slightly now to verbal commands. her labs and ABGs are improving a bit as of this morning. they think she may need short term dialysis but there is more hope than we had yesterday.
the power of prayer is truly amazing and i hope that this is one of many small steps on her way to recovery. i will be in touch with my friends at the hospital and will keep you guys posted on her condition.
thank you, everyone!!!!!
Any more improvement? Any updates?
she is still hangin on... no more changes yet, though... she is still "critical".
i'm actually going to be down there next week and i will go and visit her myself. i am keeping my fingers crossed that her body is able to recover. it may just take a long time. i think they are being somewhat conservative with her tx since DIC is very unpredictable. i'm still praying..... i think we're on the right track. :redpinkhe

I will be praying for her and her family. Are there any updates on how she is doing?
