Prairie View A&M students

Hi all,

Is there anyone here starting at Prairie View this Spring or currently attending? I got my acceptance letter about 2 weeks ago....I am so excited...and nervous! Can any PV students give advice on what to expect?

Are you all saying that it's really easy to get into Prairie Views Nursing Program? Has anyone taken the classes offered through Prairie View at the North Harris community college or online?

I did not have any difficulty being accepted into the program. I had a 3.4 GPA. But I'm warning you that the program is disorganized, but it can be done. I did not take any online courses.

Hi! I'm applying to the BSN program for the Spring as a transfer student. My transfer GPA is a 3.3, does that mean that's also my cumulative gpa? Because that's what my GPA is listed as when I looked online. Also, I made a 98 and a 95 on the NET test. To those who are already in the program, do you think my odds are good? Even if I thought I had a good chance at getting in...i'd still worry until i get the official results, because I hear the program is competitive.

Also, about how long after the deadline do we find out?

Hopefully I get in....I've heard great things about the program and I really want to be a nurse! :)

I think that pretty good for PV. I mean i know someone who only had a 2.9 and got in. I dont know what she had on the NET but I guess she met the requirements, dont sweat over it. I dont go there or know if things are changing but I dont think the gpa cut off got any higher.

i just got a letter from pvamu CON that i am on the waiting list for spring 2010. can anyone pls tell me how the wait list work and also what are my chances of geting an acceptance letter. The deadline for the waitlist applicant is Nov.30th.:madface::madface:

Just be patient, I know a couple of people including myself who already gotten an acceptance letter from PV. Just hope that some people will declinetheir seat, they only have until October 31. I hope you get in!!

I just applied for Prairie View A&M. Is it hard to get into? My GPAs are somewhat higher than the minimal requirment, but it isn't as high (like 3.5 and above). Do you think i still have a chance of making it in the program?

Also would it be better to take a science course again if you got a C in that class and aim for an A? Please help :(
