Well keeping your mind off it is easier said then done. I went out for dinner right after the test and then went boat shopping. I was trying to imagine what I am gonna be able to purchase with my new RN income. The following day my husband took me out on our old boat for the day. We had fun, a few drinks, and enjoyed the warm day. Everytime it got quiet though my mind would wander back to worrying about the test. The 48hrs do seem like forever. I would lay awake at night and just worry myself sick. I did not cry after the test, nor during those 48hrs, but when I seen pass on the screen this morning I wept like a baby. All of the emotions came pouring out of me. Your best bet is try to get a good night of sleep tonight. After the test keep yourself as busy as you can. Rent a bunch of movies, go hiking, anything to keep busy. I even thought about scouring my bathroom, but that thought faded quick..lol. It will be difficult after the test, but once you get your results its like 10000lbs is off your back and then your life can begin. Good luck tomorrow!
Well, it's done! I made it out of there with 101 questions in just under 2 hours and I am SO nervous. I'm in Texas, I don't know if that is one of the states that is fast to post or slow...hopefully fast. I only had 1 math question and 1 "hot spot", no ordering. Lots of "who does the nurse see FIRST?" and "Select all that apply" though.
Thanks a bunch to those who posted a reply, I will likely post an update when I get my results back.
Arrrgh! I've spent the last hour searching this site for "101 questions and passed", "failed NCLEX with 101 questions", and probably a half dozen other phrases. If it had been any other number like 89 or 135 or something, I could leave it alone. It had to be 101, does that mean that after 100 questions answered below standard, it gave me one last chance? Why am I trying so hard to find some sort of "meaning" to the number 101? Maybe I watched too many Disney movies when I was little (like 101 Dalmations), the Cruella DeVille song is SO stuck in my head right now. I just don't know, I know that this test is not one that can be "figured out", but I can't help it!

OK, I know I'm not there quite yet, but I wanted to post this early in the hopes of getting a response or two by the time I get back. I have some anxiety issues, especially when it comes to test results not being immediate (which is why I always loved the HESI, it tells you right then and there how you did). I am taking the NCLEX tomorrow morning at 8, and I need to keep busy for the following 48 hours I guess. Has anybody here gotten results online faster than that? I just moved to a new city, and the only people that I know here are my fiancee and his family. Does anybody have any suggestions for things to do that will keep me from having a nervous breakdown until my results are up? Please help me out.
