Funny, after reading a few posts about people seeing drugs on the nclex exam that they never heard of, and gave the advice to watch commercials for newer drugs... I decided to turn on the tube and let my mind relax, low and behold the first thing I saw was a commercial for Crestor which is to help lower cholesterol. Feel free to share the medication advertisments that you happened to see.:jester:

EDIT...Post a med that you never heard of from ANY place you seen it!

I always see the commercial for Evista (raloxifine...i think) for Osteoporosis! haha my family thought I was crazy for always telling them to be quiet whenever a med commercial came on. I told them I was studying it for NCLEX and I think they thought I was joking...but I wasn't!

Hahaha thanks for sharing! That is going to be my new thing for now... if I see a med on tv that I'm unsure of, I'll post it in this thread.

I just seen one for valtrex btw(which is to treat genital herpes).

hey buttercup this is great too...

i always see that commercial with sally fields for....

boniva...once a month pill for osteoporosis....

also i have seen before....

caduet for high cholesterol and htn

i will also post more the next time i see ads on tv...

This is a good idea to post when you see meds on t.v. It's really funny b/c i just told my bf the other day i was going to start paying close attention to those med commercials cause they could show up on Nclex. I'll be sure to post any that i see.
