It didn't look like there was a thread for 2011 Yale GEPN applicants. Since the application recently opened, I thought I'd start a thread to see if anyone else is starting to work on their application.

Anyone else out there?

Wow, the week after the 23rd seems later than they usually announce. Last couple of years the word was out around the 19th-ish. Oh well, not much we can do about it anyway.

The midwifery program director told our group they are interviewing 46 people for 13 slots. Not sure how may applications they received for that specialty. Yikes!

I was just about to ask if anyone had asked about specific time frames for hearing on acceptance! I was hoping for earlier based on the last two years decision dates, but what can you do? I wonder if they will be held up any more by all the snow we had. I think the interviews that got snowed out were mostly done by phone!

At my interview day they mentioned that we'd be receiving a letter in the mail...has anyone heard different?

When I met with the director of admissions last september, she told me that decisions would be emailed. Last year they emailed as well.

Wow, getting nervous.... Wish we knew already!

Just to confirm: The plan for notifying us is emails, most likely the first week of March?

Lol Mink - the emoticon does sum it up, for all of us I'm sure! You're correct in the emails, but I think we may hear sooner than 1st week in March. The admissions committee meets 2/23 (so soon yet so far!), and from my understanding we know pretty much right after that. With Columbia, we knew the day the admissions committee made their decisions. Not to say it will be the same with Yale, but I think we'll hear sooner. I sure hope so!

One of the faculty members who is on the admissions committee told a current student friend of mine that because they're meeting so late (comparatively), they will try to have decisions out the day or two after they meet on 2/23. This is unofficial and not a guarantee but I thought I'd pass it along.

I have the sneaking suspicion that the next week is going to go by soooooooooooo slowly :uhoh3: I feel like it's the holidays and I have one of those candy calendars or block statues where you count down the # of days to Christmas...like an antsy little kid!

nothing yet! waiting to hear from northeastern, MGH, ucsf and yale... did family track... anyone else? slightly worried...

Yale is the only NP program I applied to....I'm hoping that we will hear by the end of next week!
