I am curious...what is an A at the school you go to? Most of my classes require a 97/100 to get an A (it used to be 96 and even that was rough). I have mostly A's, some A-'s, and a couple B+'s. For example, I had 100% in one of my current classes, but I missed 1 question on the first test and 3 on the midterm (60 q's). Those 4 questions dropped me to 96.7, so now I have an A-. What sucks is - there is no way to raise that to an A because there are only 100 possible points and no extra credit. There is so little room for error that sometimes I think I'm going to lose my mind! Luckily, I haven't has any points deducted on my essays or weekly assignments. My cousin attends community college, and all he needs for a full A is 90% (no plus-minus system). So - are you guys getting every single question/assignment/essay nearly100% correct, or is your grading system just different? Thanks!

Hmm, that's strange; I've never heard of a system like that. Normally, an A is 90.0% or higher, unless the school uses +/- in which case it's usually something like 92% or higher with 90-91.9% being A- (the exact cutoff varies I think). That seems a bit unfair of your school to grade so differently than the norm.
My grades this semester:
Human Health and the Environment: A
Intro to Logic: A (projected, one week left)
Nutrition: A- (projected, one week left)

Are all these 4.0s I see with y'all working full time?
I didn't work at all.

Wow, any reason the grading scale is like that? From what I've saw on here I don't even think some of the nursing school grading scales are that strict.
But to answer your question, I go to a university that doesn't use the +/- grading system. For us a 90.0 and up is an A.

We don't use a +/- system at my school either. That seems kinda like a really crazy grading system. Only a 100 points for the whole semester? Most of mine are somewhere around 600-700 and I have one that is 1000. I do not work but I am a single mom with a very active 7 year old. I go to class during the day while he is in school, then his homework, and practice at night, then competition for the weekend. I'm usually studying in a Marriott somewhere or at practice during the week.

We don't have +/- system.
91.9% is same grade as 84%, a 'B'.

I have one more final to do but only need a 50% in it to get an A in the class so I'll be fine. Straight As in intro psych, lifespan development, and human biology :) first time ever!
I work part time. For a while I was working at a restaurant, as a DSP, and volunteering at the hospital but I quit the restaurant job a few weeks ago. More because I was sick of it than not having time.
