Possible WCCCD Nursing Applicants

U.S.A. Michigan

Published

I applied for Wayne County Community Nursing program 01/2011. I have yet to hear from the college if accepted or not :crying2:. Has any WCCCD applicants heard back regarding their applications? Everytime I call the Nursing office they tell me letters have not been sent out yet. The stress from waiting is killing me slowly.

Thanks cheske rntobe!

Hey did all of you get a 'nursing test support fee' of 200 dollars on webgate? Any idea what that is?

thanks

Alibrahimi,

I just checked Web-Gate, and I have that charge as well. No idea what that's all about though.

Hey we actually spoke with the nursing office earlier today, it appears that ATI is charging us a $200 fee for the duration of the program.

HI

I am just starting to lookin into WCCCD and was curious about when the application deadline is? I emailed the school but did not hear back. I am applying at MCC but am not sure if I will get in and want to apply to a few programs.

Any advice?

Hi su85,

They start their nursing program twice a year September and January. To apply for WCCCD-Nursing program you have to take 12 credit hours at WCCCD. They have multiple applications dates for both semesters. The deadline for fall application is usually in March or April, & for January (spring), it is either June or July. The actual dates very from year to year. I hope this helps. Good luck!

I'm applying to the program in February with a 3.8 GPA in my pre-reqs, all my co-reqs done, 85% on my TEAS, and hoping to get my CNA license to help boost me up a little bit. I'm a nervous wreck and I haven't even applied yet :crying2: Anybody else applying in February??

And how are all the nursing students that got in?? Is the program as hard as I've been hearing??

Shanay,

After you have 15 substantial posts under your belt, your PM feature will be activated.

Right now (with less than 15 posts) you may only receive PMs, not send them.

Once it is activated, either click on the paper-and-pencil icon (below member's username [if it's not visible -- along with four other icons -- click once on the member's username and the icons will appear]) and compose/send your PM.

Or

Click on My Account in the yellow bar at top of page and

can anyone else tell me if WCC TEAS has a lot of chemistry on there?

Hello AddisonLawrence03,

There is some chemistry, general science & anatomy. Brush up on general basic algebra, such as changing fractions to decimals & decimals to fractions, ratios, percentages & adding, subtracting, multipling & dividing fractions. There are some math story problems. Overall, the test was not that bad. No calculators are allowed. For me, the worst part was timing out on the math sections. I did ok overall & even managed a couple of 100%'s in reading and writing. Take a deep breath & relax, you will do just fine. I did better than I thought I would.

Good Luck.
