I applied for Wayne County Community Nursing program 01/2011. I have yet to hear from the college if accepted or not . Has any WCCCD applicants heard back regarding their applications? Everytime I call the Nursing office they tell me letters have not been sent out yet. The stress from waiting is killing me slowly.
Hi su85,
They start their nursing program twice a year September and January. To apply for WCCCD-Nursing program you have to take 12 credit hours at WCCCD. They have multiple applications dates for both semesters. The deadline for fall application is usually in March or April, & for January (spring), it is either June or July. The actual dates very from year to year. I hope this helps. Good luck!
I'm applying to the program in February with a 3.8 GPA in my pre-reqs, all my co-reqs done, 85% on my TEAS, and hoping to get my CNA license to help boost me up a little bit. I'm a nervous wreck and I haven't even applied yet Anybody else applying in February??
And how are all the nursing students that got in?? Is the program as hard as I've been hearing??

Hello AddisonLawrence03,
There is some chemistry, general science & anatomy. Brush up on general basic algebra, such as changing fractions to decimals & decimals to fractions, ratios, percentages & adding, subtracting, multipling & dividing fractions. There are some math story problems. Overall, the test was not that bad. No calculators are allowed. For me, the worst part was timing out on the math sections. I did ok overall & even managed a couple of 100%'s in reading and writing. Take a deep breath & relax, you will do just fine. I did better than I thought I would.
Good Luck.
