  1. Yes, I am also from MI. I had an old defrauding an innkeeper charge for running out on a restaurant tab when I was 17 (smart I know). I had no problem getting my license and I was also worried. I contacted the board and they said it is a case by case decision and they will contact you if they have anymore requirements. I just listed it on my application and that was it. Now getting a job was a bit of a challenge but you should be fine because they are expunged. That's my next step. Good luck with your future program!!!!
  2. I work on a Progressive Care Unit now as a RN!! ( Still haven't gotten use to saying that) Its a pretty high acuity floor; heparin/nitro drips and things like that. My advice would be to take EVERYTHING in! Be confident in yourself and your abilities, you're not going to now a lot of things but just stay calm and learn. I go off orientation in a few weeks and I'm so excited!!
  3. Congrats everyone!! My best friend was accepted too! This is just the tip of the iceberg guys! The hard part starts the moment you sit in that seat on the first day of class!
  4. You never know....they kept pushing the date back because they didn't have enough applicants so don't give up hope yet
  5. It's very fast paced...you have to change your way of thinking and how you approach things in a very short time...you don't have a lot of room for failure and by the time you catch up it might be too late.... And I've never heard of a organized nursing program honestly
  6. Clinicals start the second 7 1/2 weeks (it's very difficult to make it past the first 7 1/2 weeks) They look at your gpa with and without co reqs and take the highest gpa. I don't know how many hours I studied a day but you WILL study EVERY DAY! I graduated last week and I haven't done anything but sleep! I'm just exhausted!!
  7. I would definitely get my feet wet with the PCT program first....
  8. I'm interested in working at HOM when I graduate. How was it? If you don't mind me asking, why did you leave?
  9. Maybe you should start a new thread for WCCCD Fall 2014 hopefuls : )
  10. She/He could be a single parent and really needs to switch days for their children or someone that HAS to work and needs to be switched...you never know....
  11. I'm going for my BSN in the fall also!
  12. Heyyyyy me too!!!! Congrats all!!
  13. We have 2 weeks CNA classes here in MI...maybe you could finish up before school starts back...good luck!
