Possible WCCCD Nursing Applicants

U.S.A. Michigan

Published

I applied for Wayne County Community Nursing program 01/2011. I have yet to hear from the college if accepted or not :crying2:. Has any WCCCD applicants heard back regarding their applications? Everytime I call the Nursing office they tell me letters have not been sent out yet. The stress from waiting is killing me slowly.

was there any geometry on there? lol sorry for asking so many questions I just want to make sure I cover everything before I take it

Hi AddisonLawrence, if you get the Teas Study Guide, (check out the reviews) and focus on Math, English and Reading , which are the only subjects that you get points, so therefore you only have to pass Science with a minimum score, but to get the maximum 30 points (10 pts each) make sure you do your best on the Math, Reading and English. You can rent the TEAS study guide from bookrenter.com for $20. If you practice from the study guide you will be well prepared.

TEAScentral.com - Your #1 source for passing the Test of Essential Academic Skills Central and Language Usagehttp://www.testpreppractice.net/TEAS/teas-test-format.aspx

Thank you for your help. I have the TEAS study guide and I have been going over everything, even the Science part. I want to get as high score as possible on every section.

Hi there. My name is moe and I sm currently taking med surg 2. I once was as worried about the teas as you are now. I took it and barely passed the 1st time. A friend reffered me to a website called testpreprivew.com. That website was very helpful. I know it will help you because it's greatly helped me. My overall score was 97%. Take a few minutes to visit it and you won't regret. Sorry for any errors I'm using a phone to send this message. Good luck. [email protected]. Contact me for any advice. Will gladly answer all I can.

So, are we going to be competing with less applicants this year?

Why do you ask that? What I was told last year by a nursing department staff employee, is historically more students apply for the Fall (December application deadline) than for the Spring (June application deadline) semester. Just go for it, good luck and best wishes.

when you pass the TEAS do you print out the sheet and turn it in to the nursing department?

Yes and if you take it more than once, only turn in the one with the highest scores in English, Math and Reading.

why wont they take teas from another school? I was hoping to speak with someone to see if they will accept it from another school

Yes and if you take it more than once, only turn in the one with the highest scores in English, Math and Reading.

thank you. do they just look at the printout you turn in? or do they check to see other scores you didnt do so well on in ati??

Just include your A# and turn it in. They go by the test scores you received at their testing site on campus. As mention before, you must get at least a minimum score in all required subjects: Science, Math, Reading and English, however to be competitive as possible, you want to get the highest scores in Math, Reading and English. Have you taken the test yet?
