Hi, I wanted to create an updated thread for PORTAGE LEARNING as most are somewhat old, or sporifice-ish. Here can you please answer:
What classes you took?
How easy or hard were the courses?
Are you currently taking courses?
Are the exams proctored/webcam proctored/ or just web page locked by the software they use?
I' am currently in their Nutrition course and plan on taking the rest of my pre reqs there as the program I want to go to accepts them (they are regionally accredited).
PLEASE SHARE =]
going through this thread it sounds like some people have had issues with portage courses being accepted. Some of that seemed to be before COVID. Has this changed at all with COVID, now that so many are taking classes online?
Also in my case I took all the prereqs 8-10 yrs ago in person and just used Portage for having them up to date. Do you guys think that would make it easier for schools to accept them?

Just check with your schools of intent before registering for Portage courses. Every school is different but I haven't had a problem.
Hello,
I'm considering taking A&P 2 through portage learning and wanted to know how the exams are? Is the webcam on recording with a proctor or is the screen just lockdown? Looking to start the course after the holidays so I could really use all the resources and information before paying for the course.

I haven't taken A&P through Portage but I finished Statistics and the exams are through lockdown browser. They record you via webcam, microphone, and screen. You also have to do an environmental scan and show your ID.
Anyone taking developmental psych through portage? I'm finishing up a&P1 through them and currently signed up to do a fast track program at community college for psychology then human growth both 5 weeks long but would much rather do portage I just want to know how difficult it is. Taking portage A&P has taken me 6 months to do and I studied pretty frequently just not very book smart
