Hello I have submitted an application to the Evening/Weekend RN program at Pomeroy College of Nursing in Syracuse, NY. I am wondering if anyone else has applied to the program. The program starts Spring 2017 (January) and is 18 months long. I can't wait to receive an admission decision. I look forward to hearing from graduates of the program, current students, and prospective candidates.
I'm so nervous, I just wanna know!!!! I can't stop wondering how I will feel when I get the letter, not knowing what it will say and having to read it multiple times to confirm it says what I think it says when I read it the first time. I can't stop thinking, what kind of envelope does it come in? How does it look? My mind keeps racing with thoughts of moving to Syracuse with my family there to attend the day program and how rigorous the program will be. I think I am filled with a healthy amount of nervousness and fright... lol. I hope so. I just wanna know. Being that the program starts in January, I feel like the more time to prepare the better, even though I feel like if they really didn't like me and was considering me as a candidate, they wouldn't have suggested I consider the day program and then subsequently schedule me for an interview. I remember someone (on here) saying they applied to the day program and I believe they got accepted. If you read this, are you gonna accept the spot? I know you mentioned you considered attended St. Joe's as well.
Hey ROCTJ,
Just wanted to chime in and tell you the acceptance envelope is just a regular envelope. Not fancy or anything.
Also, if they are interviewing you for a spot in the day program, I think it's probably just a formality. They're most likely going to offer you a spot. :) Don't quote me on this, but I didn't meet anyone on allnurses who had interviews that weren't accepted last January for the day program.
OMG!! I hope so! Don't get my hopes up... lol. That's what I've been told from numerous people familiar with the program, I just don't wanna assume because it's so close to January. I've started looking for apartments though and I have already secured a part time job to work on weekends in Syracuse. My fingers are crossed!!
No worries, morggadams!! I sat next to a girl that was also just accepted, although she wasn't sure if it was day or evening. I also really liked the class. I thought the instructor was pretty funny and the class went by faster than I thought. It was weird because as I was sitting there, this whole nursing school thing started to feel very very real!
Has anyone heard anything about course registration or email setup? I haven't gotten anything in a while... wanted to make sure it wasn't just me.
