Polk State College Fall 2017

Published

Decided to start a thread for Polk State College Fall 2017 nursing hopefuls! I'm hoping we can use this post to share our stats and anxiety during the application process. So, I'll go first. My name is Megan, I have a Bachelors degree from USF. My TEAS score is an 84, overall GPA 3.25, and prerequisite is 3.75. I'm actually retaking the teas to try to get a better score next month. Let you know how that goes. Hoping to hear back from some of you.

Hey guys! I've been staying sane reading your comments the last 2 weeks! I got a 78.7 on my Teas and I have a 3.3 GPA not sure what my program GPA was but I received my letter yesterday. I am accepted as an "alternate". I'm a little discouraged about it because I am #10 and not sure of the chances I will get in.

Sorry for the late response. I am #7. So you just got bumped to number 9, as I will be doing the transition program. If I am not mistaken I think I saw on last years thread they got all the way up to the 20's for alternates. A lot don't get their FAFSA, or credits that they thought would transfer... don't. I would stay positive and def go to the orientation.

I would wait till orientation to ask them if it is permissible. I believe it is, but just to be on the safe side.
