1. I don't think the fb group will be a problem as long as someone isn't posting test questions and answers. When I was in LPN school my class had one. It was a good way to arrange study groups, upload review sheets and answer any questions about the program.
2. Should we start a Facebook group?
3. I went to the transition orientation last year but was not able to start. Not sure how many people are currently still in that program but last year when I went to orientation there were only 10 people left. If you don't have to work while in school I'm sure you will do fine. I would try to talk to someone in the program now cause I hear it's very intense. Congrats on getting accepted.
4. I had to delay my acceptance and I am planning to start in August. I got a letter the other day and it says that I have to notify them by June 19th if I am planning to enroll. I am not sure if this influences when they send out the letters. I understand waiting for the letters to go out is very stressful. I remember checking my mail box everyday even though I knew the letters were not mailed yet. I do believe that once you accept your spot in the program it will get updated in passport. Look forward to seeing everyone at the meeting on July 7th. Good luck!
5. Are we not able to register for classes until after the meeting?
6. I got in!! I applied to both the generic and transition program and got in both. I know it is going to be super tough and fast but I am going to go for the transition program. Anyone else get into transition?
7. I hate that my mail comes late. This is going to be the longest 8 1/2 hour shift ever lol
8. I wonder if the letters are going out this week....
9. I really hope that a score of 114.6 is good enough for the transition program. Good luck to everyone that applied so far. It is going to be a long few weeks.
10. Applications are up on the website http://www.polk.edu/nursing
11. I'm currently enrolled in my remaining prerequisites. Does anyone know for the pre-req gpa if they use all of the pre-req courses you have taken or the ones that need to be completed prior to the program?
12. I got a 78.7 on the TEAS which I was happy with but seeing some of these scores I am thinking of retaking it. I am applying for the transition program and am finishing up the last on my prereq's this summer. I also have a bachelors and am a LPN. I'm hoping the transition program is not as competitive as the generic.
13. I asked during my interview and she said end of the month to early October. I hope it soon because the orientation is mandatory and I will have to make sure my boss can give me off.
14. I think it went well. I was really nervous. They said we should know by the end of the month. I really hope I get an acceptance letter. I think they accept 30 but I am not sure how many they were interviewing.
15. Hey, That's great Nathifalr26! I have an interview on Friday. Do you know when in October the program starts?
