Decided to start a thread for Polk State College Fall 2017 nursing hopefuls! I'm hoping we can use this post to share our stats and anxiety during the application process. So, I'll go first. My name is Megan, I have a Bachelors degree from USF. My TEAS score is an 84, overall GPA 3.25, and prerequisite is 3.75. I'm actually retaking the teas to try to get a better score next month. Let you know how that goes. Hoping to hear back from some of you.
I went to the transition orientation last year but was not able to start. Not sure how many people are currently still in that program but last year when I went to orientation there were only 10 people left. If you don't have to work while in school I'm sure you will do fine. I would try to talk to someone in the program now cause I hear it's very intense. Congrats on getting accepted.

I will not be working while in the program. I have heard it's intense, but with my free time I should be able to ge through.
Both generic and transistion. I was accepted as an alternate for the generic, but was fully acted into the transition. Obviously, I will be doing the transition. I had 112 points if you are wondering.
What number alternate were you I have 115 points and people with 116 points got in just trying to get an idea I should get my letter today
Quote from katiekasperThe one Polk offers is $50 on July 8th, 13th, and 21st. Lakeland Regional and Bartow also do BLS classes for $55 (no book to buy or rent) usually two times a week. They also do private classes if you have a group of 6 people.
Would the Polk July 8th session work for you? If not, then I am fine with doing the Lakeland/Bartow sessions if it can still be around that same week. Whichever you prefer! I am just out of town mid-late July.

Yeah! That works for me! I get my work schedule for that week this Tuesday, so I will know for sure then.
