  1. No I don't mind. Schedule is very fast pace. Two years worth of material packed into one. If you are very dedicated, don't procrastinate on anything, and follow their rules, you can pass it. Working while doing this program is not recommended. I was working but I stopped because we are going into T3 which is the hardest. Clinicals are great and teachers are awesome. Hope that helps.
  2. Hello Nikki, I am in Transition right now. My class only had about 30+ apply, so we were all accepted. Just have to meet minimum requirments for gpa, teas score, etc. Now, that being said, that DOES NOT mean that is guaranteed. There may be many more apply this time around. Hope this helps.

I would wait till orientation to ask them if it is permissible. I believe it is, but just to be on the safe side.

Sorry for the late response. I am #7. So you just got bumped to number 9, as I will be doing the transition program. If I am not mistaken I think I saw on last years thread they got all the way up to the 20's for alternates. A lot don't get their FAFSA, or credits that they thought would transfer... don't. I would stay positive and def go to the orientation.

I will not be working while in the program. I have heard it's intense, but with my free time I should be able to ge through.

Both generic and transistion. I was accepted as an alternate for the generic, but was fully acted into the transition. Obviously, I will be doing the transition. I had 112 points if you are wondering.

Does everyone's say "conditionally accepted" ? It says prior completion of the prereq courses below is needed, but then it says if none are checked than your good (which none of mine are checked)?

The probl m with HCC is they do not factor in the TEAS score. You can score a 90 on the TEAS, but if you have a 3.5 gpa then you are not likely to get in. Polk adds the TEAS in. This makes people with a lower gpa more likely to be accepted.

Only the yellow reciept. Does not show on Passport. I went up to the advisor and double checked.

They don't have a wait list. They have had a large influx of people applying to that college from the Tampa area. I also don't think they take as many students as Polk. I could be wrong though. What made me choose Polk is their NCLEX pass rate. Sure half the students don't make it through the program, but most of them pass the NCLEX. HCC did not even post their NCLEX pass rate. They only post their AS degree pass rate. With your score Gators999 you should be fine.

Hey thanks for starting thread. I am applying for both the generic and the transition. I currently have a 3.0 overall and a 3.33 program I got a 78 on Teas 6 and I have an AS. I have a total of 111.6 points. Hope that's enough to get into either the generic or the transition.I will be retaking the TEAS to see if I can get a better score. Good luck to all!
