PLU ELMSN 2017

Published

Is anyone applying to the Pacific Lutheran University ELMSN program with me this year? There is a post last year about this program, so I figured I should start one for summer 2017!

Looks like acceptance emails are starting to be sent out! :)

Congratulations!

Wooohooo Congrats! I received an interview invitation yesterday! I guess they are using a rolling admission system this year. For those have had an interview, how soon does the interviewer contact you after you receive the email?

It took abut two weeks!

Congrats!!!!!! did they tell you over email or phone? how long to pay a deposit?

Did anyone apply to PLU and SU both? If so, which is your top school and why? Thanks in advance for any insight you're willing to share!

Hey Seattle3573, I believe acceptances are being sent by email and that we have until March 20th to pay a $300 deposit.

Congrats! Assuming you got accepted to PLU also? I saw you on the SU board also. I interviewed at both and still waiting to hear back. They are both amazing programs and I hear great things from alumni. I think I am leaning toward SU because I like the idea of not having to apply to a DNP and live in Seattle area. What about you?

Thanks Seattle3573! I'm hoping we will be classmates - I am PMHNP track too. I am almost positive I will choose Seattle U. Their mission resonates more deeply with me, I know psych is a great fit, and I like the idea of completing a terminal degree and being an ARNP by the end of the program. Also, it seems like a supportive and collegial environment. However, I am nervous because it's going to be 4 years of a very long commute...so it seems prudent to really weigh the pros and cons of both programs.

I think they are BOTH amazing programs, so it will be hard to pick. I do like the terminal degree, but I love PLU campus/smaller class sizes/ and I just feel like the faculty really care about each student. Hope I have the choice to pick!

Any other acceptances for PLU? I have not heard anything, which is worrying me.

Long time lurker, first time poster! I received an acceptance email and I plan to attend PLU! I'm super excited!!
