PLU ELMSN 2017

Published

Is anyone applying to the Pacific Lutheran University ELMSN program with me this year? There is a post last year about this program, so I figured I should start one for summer 2017!

Good luck and let me know how it goes! Mine is Thursday. I applied to SU, PLU,OHSU and a bunch of east coast schools and Vanderbilt.

I have a friend that is in his second year at Vanderbilt's program. He loves it, from what I heard about it I wanted to apply there too!

I have a family that is in this area for the foreseeable future, so I applied only to PNW schools. PLU, SU and OHSU.

Totally understandable. Have you heard from OHSU?

Nope, I haven't heard anything either. FNP interviews are mid Feb so I'm anticipating people to start hearing back the week before the interviews.

I have not received anything since submitted my application back in December which makes me a little worried...

Did anyone receive confirmation from PLU that their application was submitted and being reviewed? (Prior to receiving the email regarding your interviews of course-- congrats and good luck to all of you :)

I only heard from PLU regarding my application because they needed more info about a pre-req. Other then that they didn't send anything that I can remember.

I wouldnt worry yet, I think they are interviewing for several more weeks. You're application is probably doing just fine.

Thank you so much for responding, I was worried that perhaps my application was somehow incomplete. I had only received confirmation that it was submitted through NursingCas yet never received an email from PLU. Fingers crossed! (:

I only got contacted for a question on a pre-req, nothing else. Try your best not to stress, I am sure you are an amazing applicant and whatever is meant to be for you, is what will happen! This is my second time applying to nursing school, and I think there is a reason I didn't get in the first time.

Stay positive! :-)

I agree with what everyone said. The only reason why I knew they had received my application is because I panicked in December and emailed their graduate offices asking if they had! They replied saying due to the volume of applicants they were unable to send individual emails.

Wow, I am very surprised that PLU is now adding interviews into their admission process since they haven't updated their website or sent out an email. My application wasn't completed until early Jan while waiting for NursingCAS. I also hope that PLU actually received it. Considering that they have more than 300 applicants, it seems that I don't think they will look much into the applications that are submitted after the priority deadline because they already have such a great pool!

I haven't heard anything via phone calls or emails for an interview so I do not expect to be accepted. I recently graduated from my BA program so I am not the most competitive applicant due to my lack of significant work experience :( I feel like I am too inexperienced for graduate programs when I am already 22...

The interview is like everyone is saying, pretty straight forward and nothing tricky. They said we should hear by the end of February and they have 26 spots but might expand to 30.

I also haven't heard anything. Does anyone know if they are still doing interviews???
