  1. Hello! Thank you for being patient with me, I know that I have been MIA lately on this forum. :) I am now in my first Fall semester of the pre-licensure portion of the program. Hmmm, I have mixed feelings about this program. I love what I have been learning. I am stressed out because of how fast-paced it is. Yes it is rough! Every week is filled with either a quiz or test. I love everyone in my cohort and most professors are very friendly with questions. The most frustrating thing about the program is the disorganization with the policies, syllabus and clinical placement. There are some people are VERY annoyed of it and has been addressing them to the faculty. This problem is not new though. When I was on last year's forum, someone from the 2016 cohort has talked about it before. I hope that was helpful. Let me know if you have more questions. I promise that I will check back more often
  2. Hello everyone! I am a current ELMSN student at PLU. I started the forum for last year's admission on allnurses. I was on the waitlist until May 2017 before I got accepted into the program. Let me know if you have any questions and I will try my best to answer them
  3. I got an acceptance phone call today! I have to figure out housing and financial aid first so it is not 100% yet! I hope it all works out.
  4. Anyone on the waitlist got an acceptance recently? It is only a month away. Thank you interpreternurse for making that Facebook page
  5. I know how you feel, Smcshane. I am on the regular waitlist too. I received the letter in early March. Really? I recently emailed the admission office and they told me that I am "nearing the top" of the waitlist. Maybe I didn't interpret it correctly then. The wait is making me anxious too!
  6. I have a question for those who are on the "select waitlist", is everyone on that waitlist accepted? I am on the "waitlist" and I haven't heard back. Again, I don't expect much to happen considering it is already April. I just wanted to know if they already filled up all of their spots. Thank you
  7. You should contact them if you have additional questions. They are very friendly and are always willing to help.
  8. Hmmmm, Just a thought... Is their waitlist actually a form of rejection letter for those who have been interviewed? Did anyone actually get a rejection letter? I would like to remain positive and optimistic, but it is also important to create a backup plan. I have never applied to any type of graduate schools before, so please quote me on it. I did email the Admissions Coordinator, asking about how they manage their waitlist and how they process it a few days ago. However, I didn't receive a response.
  9. It turns out that I received a letter too. My mom lost the key to the mailbox so we couldn't open it for a while. I am on the "Waitlist" so I am assuming that it is the "Non-special" one. It doesn't talk about the expansion (?). I will call the admission office tomorrow to ask for clarification. Aslnursehopeful, I encourage you to do the same and ask any type of questions they have. Don't be shy :) Although why do they have two type of waitlists when they can just have one and place the applicants in order with numbers? It has the same effect, those who are in the 'select" are simply the first few applicants on the "non-select" waitlist.
  10. Oh I see. That is only a few days away.... It will be difficult for students who do not live in the Tacoma area and who currently has a job to whether they are accepted or not.
  11. June 1st? I always thought the program start in late May to early June.
  12. That is great news that they are possibly increasing the size of the cohort! I think I might be the last one on this forum to be interviewed. I haven't heard back after my interview so hopefully I will get some type of response, whether is waitlist or rejection. Perhaps I need to work a few years before to gain more experience and support my interests. I am currently applying and interviewing for community health jobs in case I am rejected from the program. It would be more helpful to know my status soon than later. Very proud of everyone who has been accepted or waitlisted! I think it is already an accomplishment that you have been invited to an interview Hope everyone has an amazing time at PLU!
  13. Thank you curiousrei for helping us out and answering questions about the ELMSN program! We really appreciate it!
  14. Hi seattle3573, I wouldn't worry too much about not hearing anything back yet! They are currently doing more interviews and working to send out the acceptance emails. You will be fine I just had my interview today and I don't think I did very well. That was my first phone interview EVER so that was something to learn from. I am happy that I made it this far in a grad school admission process, no matter what. They told me that they will send out decisions in the next few weeks for me.
  15. Wooohooo Congrats! I received an interview invitation yesterday! I guess they are using a rolling admission system this year. For those have had an interview, how soon does the interviewer contact you after you receive the email?
