I am so excitied i can hardly stand it!!! I turned in my paper work and application for the LVN Program at my Community College and hopefully within a couple of days I will find out if I am on the wait list and if i am they will assign me a number, they go by when you turn in the paper work and application and I turned in my yesterday!!! I want to be a Nurse so bad, it's all i talk and think about and I am driving my poor husband and family crazy but I cannot help it, i am finally realizing my dream and I am so happy I am still going to go back to school and become an RN but I want to be an LVN first for awhile. My counselor from my CC called today and I asked her about how to get into the RN Program Once I am an LVN and she said once i pass my boards, then I can take the 3rd semester of the RN Program and if I pass that then they will credit 2 semesters for the RN Program and that means that it will only take me about one year of the RN Program to become a Registered Nurse after I finished the LVN Program and pass the boards!!! Sorry this post is so long I am just so excitied and I cannot wait to finally call myself a nursing student

In your post at the bottom you put LVN in Forth Worth, Texas, are you an LVN and can you tell what to expect in LVN classes and whats it like to be an LVN?sorry so many questions!!!

Expect to learn a new method of thinking. Expect a whole lot of reading, studying, memorization, and learning. You'll learn a great deal of information in such a short amount of time.

By the way, I'm a native Californian who attended an LVN program in Van Nuys about 2 years ago. At the time, I lived in Bakersfield, so I would have to drive home on the 14 freeway past Palmdale and Lancaster when Interstate 5 closed down due to snow or icy conditions. In other words, I'm familiar with your neck of the woods.
